I don’t go to Chuck’s or Bay Pine Marina, so I don’t know the level of noise that is being discussed. I am however having a hard time seeing a difference between noise in one place and noise in another. Both marinas are trying to make money.

You're exactly right Full TImer!

It's all about the $$$$$. Home owners and neighborhood residents now have NO say so in the matter.

Be it Karaoke or generator noise....there's not much you can do about it other than what we're doing, which is getting a noise ordinance passed and zoning laws as well.

All we want is a normal neighborhood with all of the NORMAL lake sounds.....which DO NOT include generators running full time and OUT DOOR KARAOKE 6 months out of the year, 8:00 - 11:00pm, every Friday and Saturday, with 200+ people screaming and hollering, April thru October.

Now....because of a loop hole that is being taken advantage of since the court case.....there are bands on Friday nights. The Judge ruled NO Karoke on Fridays.....so what do they do.......BANDS. : D

You gotta love rednecks.....they can get around anything....even though it's not honorable.

So the REAL STORY is......you have to deal with it and have deep pockets to try to fight it.

Sooner or later.....this area will become incorporated with Dadeville and hopefully, fall under a noise ordinance.

Then....they can take their talent search elsewhere so that we can get back to a QUALITY LAKE LIFE again, in which they have no appreciation for.

That about sums it up.

Have a great day.....................Stratman.....: D

I think it may be wishfull thinking about getting this area added to Dadeville...would be alot of resistance...to sales taxes, property taxes, etc...may have to have that fight in another area.other than being annexed by Dadeville.

If you think that Dadeville is going to annex all the way to Chuck's you are delusional. But that was obvious when you stated that 3 hours of Kareoke is equivilant to generators running 24/7.

Dewd, get out more! And if you are playing rock and roll in 'nightclubs', why are you worried about what happens at Chuck's? Isn't that when you are working too?

Stratman

If you had told the price of beer at Chucks, I would think that you work for Chucks and are doing an ad or procm.

Hey....just looking at it through a lot of avenues.

Full Timer......No ad.....I have to mention it like that EVERY TIME....other wise the Karaoke'ers come back with...."hey...it's only 3 hours"....so I make sure to point out the ENTIRE situation whenever this discussion breaks out.

Never said I played every weekend.....plus.....summers we usually take off anyway to have fun on the lake.

It's our home life that is being screwed up by this rediculous nonsense.

Got to cover all the bases when fighting it.

Being in Dadeville is easy.....just move there.

I doubt Dadeville will annex that far away since they have to provide services in remote areas with a good risk of environmental damage by installing water, sewer, communications, fire and police protection.

Maybe the Chuck's area could incorporate on their own and elect a concerned citizen as mayor. It could be Martin Dam, making it a dam town.

LOL
