With all the depressing stuff going on with the water being low and it being too hot; Is anybody doing anything new and exciting or have anything planned this weekend?

Where, as memebers of this board, would we meet up and drink a few out on the water? If one were looking for a group to hang out - where would we meet?

I'm leaving for Colorado in the morning, or I would be at the lake. At the lower end, Pier 59 is a good place to go by boat & have a few. Clear Creek marina supposedly has a good restaurant & serves beverages, but Pier 59 is actually a bar with food.

I will be at the lake at least all day Saturday.

Usually we make the trip up river to Stemley bridge and hang out at the cliffs by Lincoln Harbor but I am not sure if we will make it that far this weekend.

If anyone does make it to Pier 59 let me know and I will surely motor on over. The past few weekends we have missed out on P59 and have eaten at Clear Creek and I have to say P59 food is MUCH better. There are some things on the menu that are very tasty but I have to say EVERYTHING I have ever had at P59 has been very satisfying.

I will say that we will be back next week if anyone wants to plan something.

I know it is kind of early but what is everyones plan for Labor Day?

I'll be sitting on the pier, watching the activities and jumping in the water once in a while to try to cool off. I should be out around 3 if not before. I wouldn't mind rafting up around the cliffs or something but yall probably wouldn't want to be seen tied to my old boat. It's a floating mini van. An aquatic loser cruiser. But it's paid for and runs good and I'm proud to have it :-)

I'm gonna work Labor Day itself but the weekend could be fun. But I hope it rains the whole week at this point.

Peace,
<><

Labor Day weekend I'll be at the lake for 3 days - kind of a last hurrah. I'll be somewhere watching the Bama game on pay-per-view. Anybody know of a decent sports bar in that area? TC - as far as the boat goes... if it floats, runs, and lets you enjoy the water, it's doing its job!

Jimmy's in cropwell always has any payperview that you ask for and has pretty good food too.

Other than that I do not know.

yea Tom be happy with what you have it could ALWAYS be worse and you not have a boat at all or a place on the lake.

Jimmy's is behind the Dollar store and you turn where Sears was and I think there is a furniture store there now.

Colorado?????? Is the heat getting to you?????? I hear the lakes are great up there, I hope it is vacation and not work.

ROLL TIDE!!! Thanks for the info on Jimmy's. The Colorado trip is a long awaited & needed vacation. The highs there next week are supposed to be in the 80's & nights in the low 60's. I plan on doing a little trout fishing, and some horsebacking in the mountains. I really will miss the lake - I guess knowing the summer is winding down makes me want to be there as much as possible. Y'all have a great week.

The only game we are 100% on so far is the AL vs Fla St in Jax. other than that it will have to cool off alot to get me out of the AC to watch the Tide kick a##.
