Anyone been in the water? The water on Lay is still really cold. Colder than the gulf. Hey Fr8 I've been thinking about headin' up your way. It's been about 6 years since I've been on the water up there. Is there a good place on the water that serves seafood (and adult beverages) up there?

I went for a quick swim Saturday. The guage on my boat showed 76 degrees.

It was rather refreshing.

How you been BigWorm?

Yea water and air is about 10 degrees cooler than this time last year and in our case about a fott and half deeper.

There are a few places to get seafood on the lake and a few places to get seafood around the lake.

This week Pier 59 has seafood gumbo and shrimp and next week has crawfish sccheduled.

I am not sure of any place on the lake that is all out seafood. We are kind of lacking in the seafood specialist.

Let me know when you make it up and I will try and meet you.....

Been Ok Fr8. Been knee deep in honey do's with no end in site. I was thinking of coming up there in the next few weeks on a Sat. My kids have never been on anything but Martin and Lay so I want to get them up there and to Mitchell this summer. I'll drop you a line when we decide. Until then Rollllllll Tiddddddddddde!!!

Does not matter though, I am here usually no matter what, rain or shine.....

Too long till football season, but will be here before you know it...... Hopefully we will have some good water till beginning of season....

Nah. Hammonds. Originally from Alpine. Grew up going to Logan Martin and then got a steal on a house on Lay. Had never been to Lay until then. Can't wait for football season. Looks like everyone should have water this summer. It'll be a good one.
