i cant figure this guy out--all over talk shows and almost 2 years  later still focused on jan 6--any ideas what he stands for ???

I feel like he is trying to put distance between him and Trump. With the Jan 6th Committee trying to get their report together, and the poor showing in the mid-term elections, I think he wants to clear the air, because he wants to run himself.  What I felt was interesting the way he said that the greatest accomplishmnet of Trump/Pense administration was overturning Roe v. Wade..... which technically was done with the Supremes.  He's blaming Mark Meadows for not keeping "certain lawyers" away from Trump.

I came away with the impression that he's a solid citizen, but really not a leader.

My guess is that he thinks he has a path to the nomination by being the anti-Trump choice.  Which goes to show you how clueless, delusional and poorly advised he is about the national mood of the GOP base.  Around 30% to 40% are Trump supporters to one degree or another, 40% to 50% want Trump's policies but not Trump and the rest are RINOs and Never Trumpers.  He may appeal to some of them but I put his ceiling at 10%.  He's a nice, decent guy but conservatives want someone that will actually do what they promised and Pence is a swamp dwelling politico and we know it.  But a nice guy.  Good Christian.  Just not who we want for our nominee.
