On the right side of this link is a candidate matchmaker based on questions you answer. I was surprised by my match (thank god it wasn't Hillary)......give it a try.

I got McCain! WooHoo! Steadfast and loyal...gee ya think I am Republican? Being a woman, an educated one at that, I am so opposed to Hillary. I only hope that women can surpass the glorified "woman as president" as they did in the 80's with Geraldine Ferraro. Additionally, Obama, as intellectual, charismatic, good looking as he is....America is not ready (face it, he is not a Colin Powell by any means), neither is he. Give me someone who has served our beloved country, knows politics, knows foreign policy, and is not afraid to speak his mind nor back down when confronted. If a Dem gets in office all of us making over 100K a year is doomed tax wise (to the tune of about 50%). Don't screw us for being successful! We have raised our kids, supported our schools, through taxation, and now we should be free to earn, live and enjoy as we have earned it. I am tired of supporting those who CAN support themselves but chose not to do so. Use my tax dollars to send troops to whatever country threatens our way of life, values or security. I can cut my own grass and hang my own drywall, I don't need illegals to do it. Hope your trip back home is safe! If you're not pregnant, then it isn't a baby. If you're pregnant, then it IS a baby, and I will not pay for you to kill it.
Sorry to have stirred the pudding! I am quite passionate about my country and my beliefs.

You are right on with the taxation issue. We cannot afford to un-motivate the few of us who are working hard and paying the taxes. I'm tired of seeing people sitting on the porch (and in little stinky fishing boats) waiting for a check that comes off the back of the hardworkers in this country. However, I think the fact that women will not support a woman, and that the trend is always to get out ones nails and rip the face off any woman who is successful is disgraceful and speaks poorly of women in general. I do not think going to war without a good reason is ever wise, and I do think it is time to put a woman in charge and let's just see if we can't stop stirrin the puddin all over the world until we don't have enough military to protect ourselves. I'm betting I'm the only person on this forum who will speak on behalf of the other side. So let it rip.

Nauti... And to think, I was attracted to just your Thong and long blonde hair. Now, I have to re-think you all over again. You'll be even more attractive.

See Nauti, for all your passion for your country, intellect, and education, to a man (even a good man) you are a blonde in a thong, nothing more. Doesn't that hurt just a little?

Ecstasy, you missed my point. I am not against Hillary because she's a woman, nor am I against any woman who is successful. I just don't like that people get all excited because we have a woman running for the top office in this country and want to vote for her based soley on her gender. Let's vote based on what we need and who can deliver. Fairness, morals, and security are my main concerns as to who we put in office. Not race or gender just to make history. Look at Hill the other night, she broke down and cried because someone was being mean to her. C'mon! If she can't control her emotions because someone hurt her feelings, then how in the hell can she handle the problems of the country without becoming and emotional basketcase and possibly putting us in serious danger? Most women, if not all, are too emotional and we get all weird when bad things happen, so we cry and hope the badness goes away. Men have balls and backbone and can handle badness and stress way better than we can, unless they are fairies. But I bet they'd pick out some killer china for the White House!
Consider the puddin stirred.

NOW I am hurt, if you were only kidding! I was, for a moment, feeling a rapid rise to the top of the CAT pole. Now, sadly, I feel myself sliding down at a rapid rate.

"Feeling a rapid rise to the top of the CAT Pole". That sounds a little nauti. (CAT is blushing) You were already at the top of the CAT Pole. I had failed to inform you of that I guess.

The statement " I do think it is time to put a woman in charge" is narrow minded.

In response to your coment about the Democrats taxing the rich.

We must decide which is worse. The Republicans borrow and spend and leave the debt with our children while the Democrats tax and spend.

We have now borrowed over a trillion dollars from China to support the war in Iraq.

I just wish either party would balance the national budget just as you and I do.

I believe you are right on. This administration has added more to the National Debt than all the previous administrations combined.

It is not totally the administration's fault since there is plenty to spread around. We the voters keep voting in the old gurard. They pork barrels for geographic locations and votes without concern for what it does to the National Debt. It is simply a tool to insure future votes.

Our leadership in Washington can not seem to tackle a single difficult issue to include social security, medical care, illegal imigration and the list goes on.

What even makes it worse, I don't see a single canditate for our future Pesidential office that seems to have a clue.

Both parties are more worried about politics than they are about doing what is right.

I agree with all of you. It is so unfortunate that we have boxed ourselves into these two parties who are both speaking to yesterday's news instead of to what we will leave our children. And I also agree that we don't have a really good choice for president. But if we continue to think in these two narrow ways we will all lose. On the other hand, God love anyone who wants to take on the job at this point. We can only hope that we don't get the biggest egomaniac running who will put her/his ideology ahead of the best interests of the country.

Thank You. My arms were getting mighty tired....lol.

I now officially relinquish my position as 'puddin' stirrer' to the intelligent, educated, well spoken, open minded blonde haired babe in the thong!!

May the position bring you as much fun and delight as it has to me through the years......lol.

I like Feb's answer on this
What even makes it worse, I don't see a single canditate for our future Pesidential office that seems to have a clue.
You people that like mcCain need to read and research more on him. I would be scary if he is elected.
I will not vote for the person, I will vote against who I do not like.

I'm with you and Feb, Cobra. I'm concerned about our lack of a really good choice. We are at such a dangerous crossroads with world violence. I just hate to see us elect another person who is so in favor of war. I think Hillary is the lesser of the evils. And as sexist as it is, I don't think women are the ones who typically incite violence as the answer. But I agree that I really don't want to have Monica Lewinsky in the back of my mind for the next 4 years. No one has said a single word about Obama on this forum, and that speaks volumes in itself.

"No one has said a single word about Obama on this forum, and that speaks volumes in itself."

Not really, I'd pick Obama over Hillary any day, but that's not saying much. I agree that the pickings are slim..
