New Rules Would Label Millions of American Workers as Disabled

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/03/28/new-rules-label-millions-american-workers-disabled/

Hmmm... more government interference in the workplace and in the economy.  A chief accommodation by employers IS A JOB!  Be sure to disclose your “disability” when you apply for the job.  I am sure this will improve the unemployment rate in this country.  Think of how many new government employees will be required to enforce this travesty.

Let us engage in a little logic:  Obese people have a physical disability (Puh-leez! Let someone ask me for proof of THAT).  Therefore, an employer could be required to accommodate obesity.  But, obesity is an elected disability.  Therefore, the employer is required to accommodate a lifestyle decision by the employee.  (Oops… there’s that “lifestyle” barb again.)  Aside for having to pay higher employer share of medical costs for the various diseases and maladies exacerbated by obesity, the employer has to prove that the obese employee is disabled because he or she is obese.  (I'm not making this up.)

Well now, we see again that people making personal choices about unacceptable “lifestyles” are making legal inroads to validate their behaviors.  AH!  More opportunities for lawyers.  More chaos… more money.  Who writes these laws and regulations?  Shoe clerks?  Sea captains? Civil engineers?  No, Virginia, lawyers write these abominations… and neither you nor I seem to be able to do anything to stop them.

AIDS is a disability… but, I shan’t go there.

Can you hear the price of air travel rising?  Who is going to pay for those ADA seats for big people?  Who will measure those seats for compliance?

My fellow followers in the forum… we cannot fathom the farcity being foisted upon us by fools… WHOM WE ELECTED!

Lawers run for Congress so they can write the laws and then leave and get paid to interpret them. They are willing to take a pay cut to "serve" the people with big paydays after they leave office. Martini, who is a businessman, says he can not afford to take the pay cut to run for office. So, lawyers serve and the people want change. Raise the salary so Martini can run but then he is against big spending. Guess that is where the LM PAC would be needed to entice Martini to Go To Washington. What say you??????

If each of you will send me $100 I will reluctantly agree to form an exploratory committee.  The committee's first and last meeting will be at my lake house on Lake Martin and will feature a delightful porcini rubbed filet mignon (medium rare of course),  lovely grilled asparagus seasoned with olive oil, salt and pepper and covered with a gorgonzola cream sauce, sauteed mushrooms with butter and whole garlic, a baked sweet potato lathered in butter followed by a walnut turtle pie for dessert.  Of course with dinner, assuming enough of you are stupid enough to send me $100, we will be serving a 1978 Chateau Latour Grand Cru Classe (I need three of you just for the wine).  After dinner we will enjoy a snifter of Pitard cognac whilst we enjoy a Cohiba Behike on the deck (no cigars in the house you know!).  By my math, I need at least 15 of you to send me the money.......so let's get this committee started as I am ready to serve........dinner of course....not as a politician!

I would suggest placing GF in charge of collecting the money but given his rather progressive views he would probably take 90% of it as a tax and all I would be left with is enough to buy a Wendy's value meal.....sort of a metaphor for our current administration in the WH.

Only exception is the"We".  I gather you did not, and I know for sure I did not vote these indiots into office.  At the national level, I have not voted for any encumbent for many years.

Why bother voting? Every first time candidate you vote for who is elected becomes the incumbent next term. Looks like your selection of a first time candidate is flawed. It reminds me of someone who gets a divorce for the third time and continues to blame their ex spouse. To me, they just made bad decisions when it came to the selection process. Cheers.
