Large thunderstorm in progress over the north end of the lake, Alex City, Dadeville etc. Beautiful lightning show here in Windermere with wind but no rain. Hope the upper part of the lake gets soaked.

I think we got a little something out of that rain, when I went to bed last night at 9:00 or so to get up way to early this morning the lake was at 480.56 and now it is at 480.61............. I keep praying for a cat 4 hurricane to hit and come right up to the lake and stall out after the winds have died down and staying here for a couple of days............

Then, after all of the off shore oil rigs and refineries shut down and have to start up again, we will all be paying 5 bucks at the pump for reg unleaded if not more for the next 6 months. Be careful what you pray for! I'll take a few tropical storms though!

Yep....but if we could get a slow moving tropical storm to park over the lake for a day or two, it would be awesome.

OK,OK,OK I give, make it a huge TS that stalls out over the lake. We just need to get a lot of rain soon. Hopefully some of that in the gulf will work its way up here.

Sturdivant area got 2.5" of rain on the 24th and 1.5" on the 25th. Nice, but some of the lightning and thunder was very close.
