Does anyone have a contact number for a dump for houshold waste near Eclectic?  I have tore google apart and can find numbers for Montgomery but not the one in Tallassee or one I have heard is in between Eclectic and Santuck?

Thanks for any help.

There's one a couple miles or so west of Central.  I think it is an Elmore County dump.  Its been about a dozen years since I last went, though.  May or may not still be open.

Thanks Mr Hodja.  I ended up dumping at the Tallassee landfill.  I will make it a point to find the one you mention next time because Tallassee was a long round trip and Central much closer.  Which makes me wonder why Elmore county does not seem to have roadside dump points like other counties?  It would probably reduce the amount people dump on the sides of roads.

What can you you dump at Tallassee site and is there a fee?

I had two old non working TV's that they would NOT allow to be dumped because of mercury and lead. But I did dump an old gas stove, couch, lazy boy chair, scraps of building material. I had a truck bed load full and a small trailer full, she said the weight was 400 lbs and it cost me $40. I think that is the minimum fee though and thought she told me on the phone it was something like $40 per ton. I would highly suggest calling them before you go there if your concerned about the possible restrictions.

Where you live they take anything but "Tarrs". Anything else is free.

Alex CIty has a place to drop off electronic equipment behind Public Works on Railey Road.  It is next to the recycling area.  Just an FYI.

You could wait until a nice clear beautiful fall day and burn them. Really impress your neighbors :-)

Call Sunflower, they have certain Saturday's where they will pick up household items. I know there is one on the corner of Redland and Firetower. It should be about time for another one.
