Mike lost his brokers and real estate license.  The State of Alabama pulled them following a hearing that involved financial irregularities and other violations.

you can go to Ala real estate commission web site & read the full story--or ask the realtors who used to work for him or eric mckinley who filed some of the complaints--or if you do facebook--go to Eric McKinley page--he has a full diatribe of complaints

I don't know him at all other than the name is familiar.  However, he sold the house of a friend of mine and he was filled with vitriol about the guy.  Apparently it was a very bad experience.  Given the news about the guy I am not surprised he has lost his license.

Thank you sir for asking a question instead of accusing... like some of the others on this forum.

I was showed guilty by the commission for irragularly moving funds from one accoutn to the other. I had a business manager in charge fo those accounts and she moved money, sometimes with my approval sometimes not. However I am responsible and thats why i recieved the fine and pentaly 

Also during this time, there a crook in my midst and he took over my company I built for 50K... by forging documents. Now I cant get the kangaroo courts here to do anything.

he has now basically bankrupt the company and opened up under a new name.

however please note no money was ever missing, and no closing was ever delayed due to escrow money and the public was never in jepordy was in danger of loosing their money.

Check my track record of sales, devlopments, closings and fundraising efforts and you will find I am not a terrible person..

so Michael, if i interpret your comments correctly , you are saying you were set up & falsely accused--but you paid the fine &  accepted the penalties imposed by Ala Real Estate Commission ?? ?? I think the AREC does extensive investigations prior to bringing charges against a realtor//broker--if you are innocent, why not hire Beasley Allen or Morris Bart or Alexander Schunnarah ????????

Perhaps you should correct the record.  We have presented what we've seen and heard from others.  As with all things there are two sides to every story. 

As for your dislike of the Forum, I can assure you that a great number of businesses love the forum because we are very quick to recommend people with whom we've had a positive experience.  I have recommended lots of businesses that did good work for me to others on the forum and have found new businesses to help me through recommendations.  Never been disappointed with any recommendation I've gotten here.  I did a search for your name on the Lake Martin Forum and found very few posts and none of them directly critical of you.

Rooster--i just threw in the ambulance chasers for a laugh--if he were going to protest the penalities//fines--he had 30 days to do so--so this happened in march--so the 30 days is well past

Hey Guys, a little defense for Mike.  I like Mike and enjoy talking to him about a variety of topics and find him quite knowkedgeable about the lake/area.  He has been very helpful to me and I enjoy doing business with him.  Also, he is very involved with giving back to the lake/community.  i.e.  lighted buoys and Camp Star.  As for the losing of licenses, he described what happened, admitted he was responsible , as is any business owner, for the actions of his company and accepted the consequiences.
