that was one of the surprises for me as well. Goes to show you when you set up the district based on those that rely on the entitlements he supports, they will ignor the corruption.
Reid win was also a big disappointment, as well as Californina. But Toomey win was positive and the size of the house turnover was very positive. Lastly while Barney won, I think he got a wake up call and will lose his big committee learder office.

What makes this even worse is the GOP candidate was a very good one. He was a former Jets lineman and now a pastor. The good news is Rangel will eventually have to retire once the ethics investigations that should have been done properly will now be done. He should be in prison.....

LA relected the Republican sleazeball Vitter who ran last time on family values but was silent on family values this election sincel his telephone number was found in the DC Madam's phone records.
Scott the new governor from Florida founded Columbia/HCA, the hospital conglomerate and led it as CEO in the 1990s. He was ousted by his board in 1997 amid a massive federal investigation into fraudulent Medicare billing, and the company eventually paid a record $1.7 billion to settle criminal charges. Scott has said he didn't know about any wrongdoing and was never charged. It always amazes me how someone can be an astute businessman but never quite has a handle on the fraud within their company. Sounds like Scrusy.
Neither party has a monoply on the sleaze factor.

GF, my view is that the criminal acts Charlie Rangle is accused of are a far cry worse than some guy who is a hypocrite. Heck, if you look at the history of pols in Louisiana this pales in comparison. Besides, didn't you and the rest of the left tell us that sex is a personal matter? At least Vitter didn't lie under oath like Clinton...
As for Scott, a couple of comments. First, it is obvious you have never occupied a C-level seat or apparently even been around one if you think that the CEO can't be kept out of the loop on fraud, mismanagement, etc. Secondly, Columbia/HCA was thoroughly investigated and I can assure you that AG's live to parade CEOs in handcuffs to promote their political careers. Maybe, just maybe, the guy was actually innocent. I realize that wing nut leftists think every CEO should go to prison because they make more money than the average union thug but as I recall a person is innocent until proven guilty. So your example of Scott being elected Governor is null and void.
Finally, you don't want to get into a tit for tat on corruption and sleaze as I can find 3 examples on the left for every one on the right, especially when you throw in being reelected and not being contrite. Sleaze, sweetheart deals, corruption, fraud, sexual shenanigans are all resume enhancers for the left.
