I agree.  Some of these people have only "heard" some piece of information or one side of a phone call.  Probably why they are willing to testify.  

Vindman's career will be over after this and it will be a shame.  Judging by his badges and awards - Sharp shooter, Airborne, Ranger, Combat veteran Artillery Officer, he would be tracking on making General.  But now he is tainted goods, his most recent boss Tim Morrison, didn't support his going to the lawyers.  He can stand on his integrity, but he knows that $hit rolls downhill.

I drove to Bham and back today and listened to the "proceedings", followed by watching once back home, and Amb Volker and Mr Morrison completely blew the Democrat charade out of the water.  The Dems may force this through, but in so doing greatly enhance Trump's chances of re-election. You can danm we'll bet the Trump crowd is ginning up political ads that emphasize the Kangaroo Court nature of this travesty and select the best "moments" for emphasis.

It's entirely possible.  The thing is this - we now know that there were people on the call, and people that heard about the call, and were uneasy with what they heard.  (Wish I had a dime for every time one of my bosses said something that I was uneasy about)  I'm beginning to wonder if Vindman deliberately talked to the Whistleblower and went to the legal counsel to cover his butt.  But it always comes back to the question if it is an impeachable offense.  

I don't watch soaps, but this whole "impeachment inquiry" is being conducted as a Kangeroo court.  And Dems are going to drag this out as long as they possibly can hoping someone notices and doen't vote Trump for re-election.

• The President, not the bureaucrats sets foreign policy
• Vindman never had contact with the President
• He had no first hand knowledge about the aid to Ukraine or investigations other than what he read in the fake news
• Trump was "well within his rights" to ask Ukraine to assist in an investigation of any sort
• Putting the transcipt of the call on a secure server is "definitely not unprecedented".
• The Trump-Zelensky transcript was "very accurate", blowing a huge hole in the ellipses fantasies
• He never used the term bribery to describe Trump's actions and saw no evidence of illegality
• Couldn't recall the Ukrainians feeling pressured to do an investigation
• Hunter Biden was not qualified to be on the Board of Burisma and there was an appearance of a conflict of interest

This is yet another of Pencil Neck's star witnesses who was....gasp....wait for it......actually on the call in question!!!!!!  Unlike the prior parade of opinion holders and recipients of third or fourth hand gossip, speculation and lies.  No wonder no one is watching this despite the wall to wall coverage.  Regardless of the absence of an iota of evidence the TDS sufferers will not change their minds and those of us with the ability to think critically using facts, logic and reason are even further bolstered in our view that this is yet another hoax in the left's desparate attempt to avoid losing to Trump in 2020.

I rather changed my opinion of him after yesterday's testimony.  I thought he came across a little self righteous - like that he was the only person who was going to do the "right thing" and talk to NSC counsel.  I don't think his boss agreed with it, but he did it anyway.  I've known people like this who were ready to fall on their sword to be right.  I suspect that Vindman's career will be over after this.  No one wants a person who cannot be trusted.  

You know, when you go to a military course, they willl always bring in some General who will tell you not to be afraid to do the right thing, and speak truth to power.  What they don't say is that most of the time, it willl end your career.  It's one of those things that is a lot easier to say than to do, because most power doesn't want to hear the truth, they want you to be onboard with their thinking.  As Vindman said, he is already being left out of meetings he would normally attend.  I will bet that his next assignment will be in the bowels of the Army, far, far away.

And he is getting a lot of blowback over correcting one of the questioners regarding his race.  Apparently that is a true a-hole move for a member of the military to make.  All these witnesses came across as butt hurt over policy differences, using special envoys and personnel moves.  And now we have Sondland whose opening statement was completely refuted during questioning.  Three times he quoted the President as saying he wanted nothing, no quid pro quo, just wanted Ukraine to do the right thing.  And there was no investigation, there was no announcement of an investigation, the funding was provided.......there is literally zero evidence of bribery, extortion or quid pro quo and all we have is people's opinions based on third hand gossip from Never Trumpers.  Amazing thos thing is still going on but they have to keep up the charade to blunt the IG report.  It won't work because they no longer control the messaging.

No wonder Crazy Uncle Joe threatened their funding until they fire the prosecutor looking into Burisma.  So now Democrats are going to have to be on the record that it was an impeachable offense for the chief law enforcement officer of the U.S. to want to get to the bottom of corruption in Ukraine........despite the fact that he never actually did anything other than ask them to look into the very public statements of Biden himself.  Simply an amazing thing to behold.

As I said early on the big loser in this impeachment thing is Biden.  None of this would be in the headlines or an issue for him except for the impeachment.  Imagine a debate between Biden and Trump where Biden brings up these allegations and Trump responds with all these revelations about Biden's son and obvious corruption.  No wonder Democrats saw this as a three-fer....damage Trump, get rid of Biden and obfuscate from the IG report......sadly they are failing on all three.

When a miitary officer appears in his official capacity.

I don't think you should hang your hat on his being anti-American.  But Ukainians that immigrated are still raised as Ukrainians and they seem to feel a strong attachment to the Ukraine. It's a very close knit community and they donate millions every year to perserve their culture and to encourage a democratic government.  I used to have a good friend that was a Ukrainian. He was in the Army too.  I got a lot of insight into that whole community.  Spoke fluent Ukrainian and was also a Eastern European Pol-Mil officer.  I would love to hear his view of all the this, because he was a dyed in the wool Republican but unfortunately, he passed away in 2016.
