Did you ever wonder how one incurs a shrapnel wound of the arse from a water mine when in a 37000 pound vessel made of one quarter inch thick aluminum alloy? Maybe he was using the head.......

If he still has the 'shrapnel' why not just show an x-ray to prove it? In fact why not just put the whole thing to bed and release all of his records. If the SBVs are lying, it should be easy to prove. And why does his story keep changing? Becuase lies always have to change to fit the 'current' situation. The TRUTH never changes!!!

I bet it was sKerry in his swift boat that went by your dock? People in charge of boats just don't realize the damage those big wakes can do. Your slough has got to be the worst on the lake for people throwing wakes close to docks. Now I know - it's sKerry!

ABD,

You know, if you added a couple of Browning .50 machine gun tubs, a trigger fired mortar, about 7 foot of beam and 32 feet of length to our MP boats, we'd have a pretty good rendition of the Swifties!! And your right about our slough, combining open water rollers with inconsiderate boaters creates havoc on docks and seawalls. Fortunately our seawall has been in place for 20-30 years and shows no sign of weakening. Knock on wood!

While Kerry was in Vietnam on a Swift boat, I think I saw Bush while he was serving in the National Guard in AL, cruising the lake in a pontoon. Kerry volunteers to go to Vietnam and Bush comes to AL to help in a political campaign. Where were you when Kerry was on a Swift boat in Vietnam???????????????

Might surprise you to know, Kerry asked for a deferment , for which he was rejected, before he served in Nam.

Just a convenient point you overlook. The period in question, May 72-73, when Bush was in Alabama heading the Senate campaign of Winton Blount, was the FIFTH year of his service in the National Guard. He had already amassed a ton of points in fighter interceptor training in the Texas Air National Guard since 1998. He was granted a transfer and because of his dramatic drop in points acquired in 72-73, he still collected enough flying to qualify for honerable discharge, though his point totals were far less than the previous four years. Hence, the charge that he was AWOL from the left. No one has criticized sKerry's volunteer service, including most recently Bush himself. However, if he hangs his entire convention and campaign on a mere 3-4 months of service in Vietnam, characterizing himself as an American hero, having served with hero's whom he then came home and slandered....it is all so consistent with his finger in the wind political philosophy. What ever happened to his "Bring it on"? He had run to daddy Bush to help get the Swiftboat vets to stop telling the truth about his valor.....Is this the man you wish to lead this nation?

I wasnt born yet. Does that make me less of an American? I have NEVER been in the military. Does that make me less of an American. I have an uncle that was in the gaurd during Vietnam. He loves America. He is very wealthy and remains in the gaurd today. Is he less of an American than John Kerry? Kerry and his supporters (this means you) are idiots. 4 Months in a hostile war does not make you a great American. However, a voting record that helps this great country would. He doesnt have this. Maybe he put his great voting record, his @ss shrapnel, his Cambodian journal, and the rest of his presidential qualifications in his SUV. Oh wait, the way I hear it now. . .He doesn't own an SUV. It belongs to his FRENCH wife. He is an extremely wealthy POLITICIAN. Anyone that Hollywood rallies behind cannot be good for real America. W in '04!

We haven’t had anyone in the White House with superior intelligence and leadership ability in many years. This country and our beliefs will not go down based on the actions of one idealistic fool (Remember L.B.J and Carter?) because fortunately, we have a strong constitution with division of power.

This is a great country, but frankly most modern politicians (regardless of affiliation) are doing a fine job of trying to screw things up. They chase money and their ego rather than do what is best. They sell policy for votes and monetary support. They are willing to trade principles for sound bites. They are all hypocrites if you look at their personal lives and compare them to their statements.....of course, some are worse than others. . Problem is, nobody truly qualified wants the job; and if they did, they would have a tough time getting elected because of the media and special interest groups.

So vote your choice and don't worry about it. ..... If things get bad enough (and they probably won’t) someone with brains, balls, and leadership ability will step forward. At that point, being PC won’t matter and the USA will become even stronger.

How’s that for a strong endorsement. Go W?……….
