Are there any marinas on Lake Martin that have wet slips that will hold 70 and 80 foot houseboats?

School must be out. Nothing else to do but ask stupid questions.

I knew that Alabama was comprised of almost entirely sub 100 IQ people, but you did not have to advertise it with your superior wit and skill of articulation.

I would check out Stillwaters and Anchor bay. You might also try The Ridge. Welcome to the lake and please tell all of your friends with house boats that they are welcome on our lake. Lake Martin is just starting to "take off" and its very exciting to see all of the growth. I think the national pub we are getting will lead to more marinas and boat offerings on the lake. We are also hoping for more restaurants. A putt putt course and video game room would be nice for the kids. The more folks that discover our lake the more opportunities for growth we will have and that is exciting. Good luck finding a spot...

Thank you for your response and I whole heartedly agree with your analysis of the situation. Additional people bring additional growth, opportunity, and increase in property value.

I'll pull you skiing if you let me ride on your houseboat. Also, are you a Dawg fan? Just curious cause of your name. If you are , you have an ally on the board in Roswellric I think.

Sorry Dog, but you've not done your research here. Lake economic studies indicate that the single most important factor relating to property values is lake water clarity. No matter how many job opportunities, marinas, restaurants etc are available, people pay for the recreational enjoyment on clean, clear lake water. You'll have to prove to me that any of your predictors of increased property values are accurate.

No marina on Lake Martin has docks for 70 or 80 foot houseboats. Most of those that length are 16' wide or wider and may not be transported legally on any road or highway in the State of Alabama, so there's no sense in a marina operator building anything to accomodate boats this size.
