We are in the Sturdivant area of the lake and must have 100 to 150 foots out front. Pretty duck. Must be stopping here to redt on their migration. What a site.

Are you sure they are coots? I have seen large groups of Scaup wintering in the back of Sandy Creek on several occasions. They have a half moon white patch on the side of their face. They are much bigger than Coots.

I believe they were foots. Their whole body was gray, withevwhite stripe on their nose.
