Buy a keg and let us know when you are going to tap it. Have everyone bring a dish.

Octoberfest is great. It should be listed on this homepage under the Alexander City Link

I read about the Riverfest in Wetumka coming up soon. Memory fails me as to where I read it but it sounded good. Anyone else know anything about it?

This really isn't in the local area......but Helen Georgia is a lot of fun up in the north Georgia mountains.

Just thought I'd throw that one in.

This one is not on Lake Martin, but you need to take your Lake Martin boat with you.(that should qualify it for this forum) It's called the fall color cruise. Around the third week of October, people trailer their boats from several counties around and spend the night at the Holiday Inn lakeside at Lake Guntersville on a Friday night. The next morning you head up river to Chattanooga and dock there for the night. (about a six hour trip) If you catch the right weekend, they have had a flea market riverside about half way there with docking bouys and a water taxi to the shore. You go through one or more locks and there's a lot to do in Chattanooga. Boat back home at your leisure the next day and trailer it home. I've done it twice and it's quite unique. You definately need to make reservations at all points, (overnight docking included, because there is a limited number of transient boat slips and there is an overnight fee based on length of your boat). If you've never been make sure you go to the Chattanooga Choo Choo for eating Saturday night. The entertainment is worth the trip and there's always the Aquarium or the Imax theater, both of which are two blocks off the water. The fall leaves are beautiful going up the river and it's a great way to entertain yourself and guests!!

Yeah, we've told you more than once, but as usual you don't pay attention to most of what I say??? If we could slow your brain down just a little you would discover all kind of things being said that are just slippin' on by!!!
