It is a special green bulb. The bulb does glow green out of the water. I think this is done by altering the gases inside the bulb.

Wonder where I can get a bulb or two...? I think we should get together and build a few.. Anyone having enough knowledge would be great... I was an Electrical Contractor but this is out of my area of knowledge...

I'm interested as well, would like input form folks that have built them or have them on effectiveness of burning every night vs. only on weekends. Also any measurable difference in their power bill? Wonder if a 75-150 watt sodium bulb watt bulb would also be effective?

I will get you the part number. My bulb still had the original cardboard sleeve on it. I will also post a link to the 175W lamp posts. Again the hardest part is making the socket connection waterproof
