Just another opposite and unintended effect from our geniuses in Washington.

I think I'm joining the Anti-Incumbent Party.

NOBODY!!

IMO, if you have your job because the citizens voted you into it, you should be limited to a set number of terms. If it is good enough for POTUS it should be good enough for ALL elected 'officials'. And ABSOLUTELY no 'retirement' from elected office. It should be illegal!!

Ethanol use as a motor fuel has got to be about the most idiotic energy policy this country has ever embarked upon:

1. Only 70% of the energy content of gasloline.
2. Only "viable" because we taxpayers are paying for subsidies for companies to produce it.
3. Has arguably caused very large spike in grain costs across the board. Food for fuel is as ridiculous as it comes.
4. Cannot be transported via pipeline, only trucked, incredibly inefficient, especially at $4.25/gal. for diesel.
5. Requires vast amounts of energy and water to produce. Some say it takes more energy to produce than is obtained from the ethanol itself.
6. Water absorbtion issues that can cause severe engine damage (especially in seldom used engines(i.e. boats, power equipment, etc.)
7. Creates more of certain pollutants than gas because you must burn 30% more of it to go a given distance.

And the list goes on. I hope we will soon see an end to this misguided policy, but, I'm not holding my breath!
