Just wanted to let you all know Russell Lands has done it again... They are charging $50.00 per truck load to dump tree debris from the tornado stricken area in the Windermere Area. No matter what the truck size. I have had ambivalent feeling about Russell up to this point and I don't think it has to do with Ben himself. I am not saying that they don't have the right to charge for the service. What I am saying is that 50 dollars seems to me to be a little over charging for a dump fee.

Frog, you are working up there I know, I saw you. This is kinda hard to believe. Have you witnessed this personally?

Yes, I know this is a fact. As to some of the rumors I have heard. I might tell those later.

Anything that can be burned should be burned on site - not filling up a landfill. thats free

I'd agree to burn, but everywhere I travel I see No Burn signs.  One thing to burn small stuff.  Trees could smolder and catch back on fire even days later, especially with a wind.

Have you seen the devastation done to these lots? I doubt it, or you would not even suggest burning. All of these lot were heavily wooded and at MOST a few trees remain. I could just see someone trying to burn 100s of large pines, oaks and sweetgum that are down on just their lot. The other thing this is not a landfill. It is a processing lot were the timbers are culled from the clean-up. I have herd today that Russell has stopped Elmore County from bringing trees to the site because they didn't pay their bill yet.
