My wife and I just booked a trip to Alaska for June of 2008, our first trip there. We will have five days in Anchorage before we depart for a cruise to Vancouver. Any suggestions as to best shore excursions, places that are a must see, things NOT to do, etc.

Check your email as I am going to email you our itinerary for our trip back in 1999. The itinerary has website site links to all the respective websites.

Would strongly recommend the following if you have time.

Denali Trip
Homer Fishing for Halibut
Salmon Haus Fishing with the Bears

I would also recommend the Glacier tour, but you should see plenty on the Cruise.

There is a whale sighting boat tour out of one of the ports, it was a great side trip......will try to find details..........
