I sure do want the water level to increase, but I went out last weekend, and there wasn't any debris on the lake...Sure as is begins to rain hard, there will be so many branches, stumps, and garbage out there

Lake Burton is one of several GPC managed lakes. The writeup says that the shoreline is all seawalls and piers. No natural structure at all. Acreage is just over 2700sq. acres. I also looked at some of the realestate ads. You know we all could jack up the prices on our places and then brag about it. I know of a guy who over priced his place by 100k. Along came a fool and wrote him a check, no questions asked. Point is, that doesn't make anything better. The fishing is suppose to be pretty fair.

True True! Now I really think that the property on Burton is really that expensive. Have heard of $500,000+ cabins being bought for the lot and torn down. Same thing is going on in Atlanta's trendier areas - 40 year old houses selling for $500K+ and being torn down and $1.5M houses put on the lot. Burton and Rabun are so small and so much $$ is chasing it. You really do get a lot for the $$ on Martin......(no pun)

On the brighter side, I had my Bermuda lawn fertilized and treated and the advice from my lawn man was "no grass cutting until we get two soaking rains." Music to my ears.......
