Subject:	Scuba Diving on Lake Martin

Our son from Michigan is planning on visiting us here on Lake Martin the first week in April. He has his scuba diving license and is wondering if there are any places to dive on Lake Martin. Also, any where he can rent the necessary equipment?

Any help will be appreciated.

There are plenty of places to dive on LM ! You can rent the necessary equipment from Adventure Sports in Auburn or Montgomery. They teach Auburn Univ scuba classes on LM. Be sure that your sone does not dive alone. (Its easy to find a buddy thru Adventure Sports.

I have dove a few times on the lake. There are others I know who have dove alot on the lake. One thing to consider is that (year-round) the water at diving depth is in the mid 50's and he would need a dry suit in April. (Unless he knows his limitations with a 7-9mil wetsuit).

Dons advice was good also!
