Does anyone have a rough questimate what a boat hoist for a 24 ft pontoon boat would cost installed in the Blue Creek area?

Anywhere between $3000 and $10000 depending on the type of lift, the amount it's capable of lifting, and who you buy it from. Cost is different for a 4 post lift, free standing lift, boathouse lift, etc. Also, cost is different for steel vs. aluminum and installation price can vary widely.

Like jlazc stated it is hard to value without all the facts known I think mine cost about $3500.00 per lift, but it was in the cost of a new boat house with a lot of other things already built in to include the electrical stuff.

I could actually see it at up to five grand depending upon your sitiation.

You are welcome to come look at mine if you like.

This is one of those hard things to evaluate without a detailed analysis of your situation.

First, and the most important thing is you need to contact Alabamaa Power Company. They were very stict with my permit.

A permit appication will cost your $250.00 I seem to recall.

Can anyone tell me who works on older hoist? I have one in my boathouse and it has gotten to the point of just barely getting the boat out of the water.

There are lubications points on most lifts.

It sounds like you are getting power. So, it is not an electrical problem. Therefore, your repair should be reasonable.

You can also check and see if the lift cables are corroded. This is an easy fix I helped my Brother do it. He used plastic coated cables when he replaced his.

Might want to check to see if the belt is slipping between the motor and the gears.
