Friends and Neighbors in the Kowaliga fire district.... Our Fire Department is in trouble, but it's nothing we can't overcome with community effort. If you don't want your homeowners insurance rates to sky rocket, get INVOLVED!! Many thanks to those who are already stepping up to help, but we need more. There are many things that need to be done. We need volunteers to help with paperwork, organization, grass cutting, maintenance, and we need fire fighters. If you can't put in time as a volunteer, we also need considerable financial support to get this department back to where it should be. IT CAN BE DONE! I have set up a Facebook page to distribute information. You can also send me an e-mail from my forum link with any questions and I'll put you in touch with the right folks for answers.

I talked to them a couple of years ago about getting a website and getting a way to accept PayPal or something, some way of getting donations more easily from people. I seem to remember Toni Adcock and Phil also volunteering to help them set up a way to receive funds in the same way that the Pace's Point VFD does it. It's not surprising, given the Adcocks' talents, but the PP VFD has an excellent site and an easy way to donate.

It could get a lot worse without help......everyone in the district needs to pitch in.
