Does anyone know what happened with the boat on the island in the big water near Chuck's? Sure no one got hurt?

It hit land! Lots of land. Going real fast too. Someone very likely could have been hurt. My question is how did they get off the island? Looks like a job for the barge Lake Martin Dock has.

I saw it also. I heard from the bouncer at Chucks that it happened Friday night. He was not sure if anyone got hurt or not. I hope not. My wife and I rode by again Sunday morning and it was still on the land, but by lunch it was gone.

The link below provides some pictures that we took of the accident. I have them zipped up. So just click the Save option to look at them or it will take a while to view.

Everyone please be careful riding at night or anytime for that matter.

Looks to be in pretty good shape considering. Wouldn't have taken too much more momentum and it would have made it out the other side looks like.

What must have that felt like running that thing up there? Must have been going pretty fast to get far in there.

Waste of a good boat. Probably damaged it more getting it off than when it hit. Might offend the politically correct, but some folks shouldn't be allowed to own good boats.

The lake martin dock barge pulled the boat off sunday morning. It was putting in a dock close by. Isaw the boat drive away about 35 -40 mph it looked fine. Hope nobody got hurt.

People need to be familiar with winter levels. Do you think they were from this side of the lake? I do not know anyone on the lake that does not know that the lake is dry there.

I think those pics are a great testament to the construction of Sea Ray boats. Especially if it is true that it was driven away. I can't imagine that it didn't spin a prop at the least.
