I feel compelled to post a review of Harbor Docks for those looking to to eat out on the lake. We went there this past weekend after not having been to this place in some time. Frankly, the last time we visited it was just not too good. That has changed. The decor is very nice. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious! While the menu is limited, I think that is to be commended as these folks are trying to do what they do WELL, rather than attempt it all. The steamed seafood platter was great. The tuna dip, steamed shrimp and fixings were very enjoyable. The raw oysters were OK but that cant be blamed on HD. They are as they are this time of year.
Its very nice to have an alternative to Sinclairs on the this side of the lake (although I have to admit that Sinclairs has been much better this year). Try HD for yourself-before the lake water is all gone.

I agree.....we have been there 4 or 5 times already this year and it has been very good each time. Their Tuna is excellent. The setting is beautiful overlooking the marina and the staff is all ways friendly. Everyone just needs to remember that the lake eateries are not fine dining establishments. We go for the atmosphere and views and if service is a little slow....No Problem.

Ducked in there to avoid the lightning storm Sunday. Lunch was good, Staff was promt and curtious. Went back there on the Fourth for lunch and they were closed?...I think they missed out on that one. But, I guess the staff wanted the day off...lol

We have been there many times this summer since it's on our side of the lake...which I love. We have tried several different things, but the tuna dip is my favorite. My friends say the grilled tuna is excellent. The staff has always been very friendly. Love the access by water too. Thanks Harbor Docks...hang in there!

Closed on the Fourth!? Now thats crazy. When it was Castaway it was THE destination on the fourth. They had the annual bathing suit contest. You had to get there way early to get a nice spot up front...lol.

Would be nice to have a restaurant...not a bar that has total disregard for neighbors....noise, drunks, and the list goes on and on!

My mom and dad drove down here from Virginia the middle of June and arrived on a Thursday. Since I have my boat stored there I suggested we go out and eat at HD. We got there about 2:30 only to find that they don't open until 5. Brent, the manager happened to be walking out to his car and promptly led us up the ramp, sat the 3 of us down, and fed us some very nice sandwiches and cold beer. He could not have been nicer to us to open early, and his generosity definately left a mark on my family. This wasn't the first, or the last time I have eaten at HD, but that one will be hard to top. I think that the menu is fine, and the atmosphere is great. Most weekends at lunch time and late afternoon the "lot" is full and it's hard to find a slip to park, so all those boaters can't be wrong.
Kudos to Harbor Docks!!
