Check with the Auburn flight school. Plenty of instructors would probably take you. Sorry I dont have a phone number for you. Good luck.

If you do find someone, will you come back and post. This would make a wonderful anniversary gift . I have often thought of taking a hot air balloon ride as well. They offer these over in Mississippi before the hot air balloon race begins.

I will. I run a vacation rental program and one of my condo owners wanted to do this,and if it is a good experience add it to the list of things to do. She has done this for fishing guides, etc. and I value her opinion highly. Never got to go up in a hot air baloon, but had one cling to the side of my house back in Texas years ago. Should have taken the operator up on a free flight.

I think there is a small airport in Alexander City as well. For your list of "things to do". . Chuck's is holding their "Little Caypso " Art festival on June 7th. Music on the deck.

My kids gave me a certificate at Christmas for a flight in the Naughty Lady VII a former Soviet Union aircraft. I 've been waiting for spring to take the flight. The contact for the flight is Alex Harwick and his number is 334-467-0946. I don't know any more of the details or I'd share them, and I wil after the flight. Good luck.

There is a seaplane rental place out of Alex City that might be able to help... I have their card.... SOMEWHERE. We rented from them a couple years back and did touch and goes on the lake and taxi'd right to our dock picking up and dropping off ...taking turns. It was a blast!!

I have seen the seaplane on the lake too and wanted to mention it but had no idead who did it. If you find out who it is and have contact information please post it. I have wanted to figure it out and do that for years!
