We rode up in the boat, hung around and had to leave. I loved the atmosphere. I just don't think CMT can capture what people actually experienced. If you had no first hand experience at the event, it must look good. I was hoping there would be more talk from Jackson about his experience on the lake. Oh well.

LOL... How can I help.. As Jimmy Buffett's tune goes. "I don't know" I too watched the show, even posted Jackson's Lake show as a show to watch on my Facebook page. The lucky few get it. Others simply could care less where another jumps.

Bravo to Alan Jackson and all those lucky lake lovers. Just a few lucky folks will ever get Lake Martin and how a cool place it is. I say let's do again in '10 whether or not it's the showcase. It's definately an (The) event. Congratulations all! Yeah who knows perhaps BUFFETT could do it cause it's a five o'clock happy hour at the lake!. I wish I had contacts.

I wondered about that too... It's probably a broadcast royalty issue in addition to already having 90 minutes of Alan Jackson content. When you start checking into royalty and usage fees for music it can get expensive. Especially when broadcast to as wide an audience as CMT. It makes me wonder what kind of permission AJ had to obtain to sing it live.
