Adam Nagourney, the Times' chief national political correspondent, wrote the article, which also disclosed that:

Reid “has a thing” about fat people, “manifested in asides to aides who seem to be getting portly and an office staff that is suspiciously thin.” When George W. Bush invited Reid for coffee in the Oval Office in the last weeks of his presidency, Bush’s dog walked in and Reid told the president: “Your dog is fat.”

Reid readily admits that he called Bush a “liar” twice, and referred to him as a “loser” — in front of a high school civics class.

Reid called angry protesters at town-hall meetings “evilmongers,” and said he has no regrets for referring to former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan as a “political hack.”

When independent Democrat Joe Lieberman said he would not support the healthcare reform bill Reid was trying to pass in the Senate, Reid told associates: “He double-crossed me.” Lieberman disputes that he misled Reid.

Reid demonstrated an apparent aversion to black people in comments he made about then-presidential candidate Barack Obama. He was quoted in a new book as saying that Obama could become America’s first black president because he was “light skinned” and had “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” Reid apologized to President Obama for the remarks.

Reid has “an almost pathological propensity to say things that get him in trouble,” Nagourney observed.

Reid says what he thinks and the Wing Nuts like you have a problem with it. If he said what was politically correct you would say a typical politician. Tell what would you like him to say????????? What did he say that was not true?

Brother Reid will have lots of time to play black jack in his home state in 2011; if the good citizens allow him to move back.

GF

I've read many post on this forum that were critical of you and your political philosophies. I've now concluded that they were correct - you are a political nut.

I've got a brother in law who has to be one of your relatives. He had a hared for Bush and if Bush had raised someone from the dead, he would still have refused to give Bush the credit. If it was Republican, it had to be bad.

And, anything the Democrats were for, so was he. Yet, he is oblivious to what's going on in the real world. However, I do see some hope for him as of late. I have heard him say that Obama is not the person that he thought he was voting for. I doubt that he would cast a vote for Obama based on his performance during the past year. Would you say the same thing?

You know, it's amusing to read these things and shake our heads -- but the truth is, you could take any member of Congress and do the same thing and you'd end up shaking your head.

I'm convinced there are no normal people that run for national office. And once they get up there, they are so surrounded with syncophants of every stripe, they begin to believe they are omnipotent. Hence, they spend a lot of time making really stupid statements.

First, you attempt to insult me with "you are a political nut" and then you ask me a question "Would you say the same thing?". May I suggest that you show some Wing Nut class and wait until after I answer your question before attempting to insult me.

I wonder if an insult makes you appear to be more macho in front of the other Wing Nuts??????? You can be more effective by just asking you question.

Cheers!!!!!!!

Are you sensitive? Who first used the term "wing nut"? If you elect to use this terminology, don't be surprised when it is thrown back at you. I suggest that you go home and sit down in concrete and toughen your skin if you're going to continue with your present attitude toward forum members who happen to have a different opinion than you.

Cheers from Locowner

The king of the "Wing Nut" name-calling feeling insulted?

I am firmly convinced you are actually a pseudonym and pseudocharacter for a staunchly conservative individual and just like to - as L.T.L. used to say "stir the puddin".

If not, email me and maybe we can start a meaningful dialogue (except if you are for real that may not be possible).
