I frequently read journals on AOL. One fun thing they do there is pose questions to other journalers, who then make lists pertaining to their own life experiences. Since we have such a diversified and articulate group here, I thought it would be fun to pose one of those questions here.

List 10 things you've done that you bet most of the rest of us haven't.
(If any of those happened on Lake Martin, even better)

Oh, and TRY to keep it clean....

I'm working on my list.

Assuming simply nudity doesnt break the rules, here is my list.

1. Tubed the Kowaliga Creek side of the lake wearing nothing but a life jacket and a smile

2. grew up raising chickens.

3. flown on an aerobatic plane ride.

4. caught a bass by hooking its tail

5. did a dive from top of chimney rock

6. leapt from a boat moving over 40 mph

7. swam across the Alabama River

8. got knocked unconscious by a baseball

9. was busted TP-ing the principals house in HS

10. won the male hula hoop championship on a carnival cruise.

Wow, that is a tough list to put together. Im interested in reading everyone else's.

How did your dive off Chimney Rock feel? I swear it felt like I had separated both of my shoulders and cracked my skull wide open. Not a smart move on my part.

6. Moved back in with my parents after having been moved out for 5+ years.

9. Congratulated a Jeff Gordon fan after Gordon won the Aaron's 499 at Talladega in April, 2004. (instead of thorwing trash on the track)
10. Got engaged. Probably the most insane thing I've ever done.

Looks like I live a sheltered life compared to some of you folks.

I was going to say that I once belched the alphabet after only two beers but, after reading that my feat seems awfully trivial....:)

You are going to have to explain the city travels for your meals. Is the food that bad around your place? :) And yes, we all want to know what your career is!

I am posting the first 7 of 10 things now -- because, I lead such an incredibly uneventful life this thread may disappear to the next page before I can come up with three more.

1) Wittnessed a gang shooting

2) Attended the 1984 World's Fair (I believe most of you did not, because there were only me and about 10 other people there. What a joke) Two of the other people were Brooke Shields and David Letterman. Saw them both, same day. But then, how could I miss them?

3) Evacuated on 2 different occasions for a bomb threat.

4) Was born in Louisiana AND Missouri. Really.

5. Attended my grandson's birth. Amazing... and I KNOW you didn't do that.

6) Anonymously sent myself "thanks for a job well-done" flowers to the office just to pizz-off 2 viscious and catty co-workers. (It worked). Yea, I know, makes me a little "catty" too. Oh well.....

7) Anonymously bought a car for someone in need.

I really believe there must be at least 3 more... but they elude me.

6. Was a single parent of a 2 year old when I was 21.
7. Broke my shoulder snow skiing with customers then skied with them the next day (dragging my pole the entire time).
