Went out Sat afternoon for Stripers. Tried live bait (bream) around Youngs Island. No luck. No bait or fish on fishfinder. I moved into Manoy Creek. I fished near the mouth of the creek (about 1/4 to 1/2 mile into the creek). Plenty of bait around. I had one rod go off but never hooked the fish. Anybody else have any luck?

No luck for stripers this past weekend but did have a few bass. One decent spot and another decent large mouth. Most others were small. It was nice to get out and shake the cobwebs out. That's the first time on the lake with a fishing pole since last year.

I'm hoping to get out and do a little trolling up in the river channel this weekend if I can get a hall pass from the Mrs. and the little one!

Caught three decent size stripe over the neighbors green monster light about 10:30pm. Using a silver/red/white spoon.

You wouldn't want to give the location of that green monster light, would you? I saw the article in Lake Martin Living. It looks pretty cool. I am thinking about getting one.

Let me know how the trolling works out. I have not tried this yet. I have some downriggers from my previous days in saltwater and have not tried them on the lake yet.

On the trolling note: I love trolling, it's really all I do.. true lazy mans fishing. I caught 11 nice spotted bass trolling the banks Saturday-Sunday. Using 4 poles. Smallest was about 1.2lbs. Best was 3.1.

It's fun. I enjoy it :)

I'll shoot you an email with the location of the monster lights.
