McCain says a 'much more centrist' Obama 'much' easier to work with.

Addled and unprincipled then, addled and unprincipled now. Unfortunately for ALL Americans, he was the 08 Republican nominee, carrying his "moderate" baggage, running a light weight "senate gentlemans" campaign at a time when we needed a heavyweight with a clear vision, and, as a result, we have what we have. Can't wait to see the rest of what Rumsfield has to say about him in the book due this week.

I wish ADM McCain would retire from politics with his honor and reputation intact... rather than whittle away at his own legacy as he is now accomplishing. He is an honorable war hero, but merely a passable politician. His heart is in the right place… but, he is too easily manipulated… even by his own “people”. Though he would have been better that the current pretender we have as President, he would have been only marginally better than Carter... and certainly no Reagan.

Major, I too respect, honor, and appreciate the Admirals military service, and sacrifice. Politically, none of the above. NCLB, senior prescriptions, gang of 14, McCain Feingold are too many examples of Kum Ba Yah, along with the associated huggies and rubbies, when we needed political leadership with more testosterone.

Now that he no longer needs our votes he is back to his usual self. Exactly why I did not support him in the primaries and why I held my nose and voted for him against the Messiah. I too wish he would retire but for some reason these guys just hold on forever until they have to be propped up by their staff like a zombie and mumble some lines they are fed by the staff. These almost cadavers only exist to keep their staff from having to go get a real job.....
