Please understand...you have a beautiful house in the Ridge across for Windover. We love it and Auburn, but when you come up here and turn on all the outdide lights like it's TIME SQUARE....it's obnoxious and it is LIGHT POLLUTION. Please TONE IT DOWN and meet your neighbors!

We have a neighbor across from us just like this neighbor of yours.  We used to enjoy sitting on our porch, looking at the moonlight on the water and listening to the crickets and frogs. Now, all we can see is the huge display of LED lights and their reflection on the water.  It looks like Las Vegas.

Got one in our cove near pleasure Point and ramp road. Beautiful home...but has lights all along the shoreline at night. Looks like an airport ...takes away from the night time sky. Alabama Power should regulate....

People move to the lake for quiet and nature.  Then they put speakers on their patios and lights around their homes.  Go figure....

We've got one in our slough that has a large pole mounted mercury vapor light, rectangular in shape, that shines over his dock area and directly at our cabin.  It totally takes away evenings on our dock or screened porch.  Light has been there a long time, before our house was built, but really serves no purpose.  Sometimes it has been left on after the owner/guests have left the lake.  Would be a real problem if the light didn't have a switch on the 20 foot high pole where it's mounted.  I do wish the powers to be would realize how much of a problem these lights are becoming.  Really messes with your night vision when boating.  The folks that turn on all the lights are almost always "city folks" and are inside the cabin so they rarely enjoy the beautiful evenings we have here at the lake.

I considered going completely solar but I lease my lot from Alabama Power and they sent me a rather nasty letter insinuating that my lease would be terminated if I used solar power instead of electricity.
