Not exactly a right wing polling outfit.

Yes, it appears that is the case.  It's pretty clear that Democrat candidates don't want him to campaign for them.  He hasn't convinced many people that his approach to ISIS is going to be sucessful, and his response to Ebola (although I refuse to call it a crisis) has been pretty pale.  It's not good.

But then again I don't believe any Democrat should be in a position of power unless they use facts, logic and reason instead of emotion to guide their beliefs. If they did, they would abandon liberalism and big government solutions that have never worked and will never work.

I'm of the mindset that we only have one President and it is not a good thing if he fails.  It's less of his personal failure than all of us failing because whether we like it or not, he is the face of the U.S. to the rest of the world.

I actually agree with you but he has no one but himself to blame for his myriad of failures.  I truly believe he suffers from a mental disorder called Narcissistic Personality Disorder and that he is incapable of accepting responsibility for his actions or inactions that have led us to where we are.  I also believe he is not very intellegient and that is why he has spent millions keeping his grades secret.  He was pushed along with affirmative action system because as Joe Biden said, he was clean and articulate.  Once he is off the teleprompter he is a bumbling, stumbling walking gaffe machine.  I also believe based on the historical record that his domestive economic policies are doomed to fail because they have never worked and they will never work.

It gives me no great pleasure to watch this guy screw up everything he touches but I didn't vote for him in either election and those that did are to blame.  But they need to be reminded every day of the consequences of that vote because 2016 is coming and this time they will be told it is time for woman president and if Billary is elected we will get another 4 or 8 years of failed policies because she too is an Alynskyite left wing nut.  Are we really going to do this again?!?!?

“The biggest issue in this fall's election is whether the Obama administration will end when Barack Obama leaves the White House or whether it will continue on, by appointing federal judges with lifetime appointments who share President Obama's contempt for the Constitution. Whether such judges will be confirmed by the Senate depends on whether the Senate continues to be controlled by Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid.”           [Thomas Sowell, 30SEP14]

A US judge… any judge... who chooses to “interpret” our Constitution… rather than UPHOLD our Constitution… mistakenly sets himself above this foundational document and thus undermines the welfare of the nation.

He did serve in the Senate, which does not seem to be a hotbed of intelligence.  I don't think he is quite as bad as the picture you paint, but it does seem he is beyond his depth in a lot of areas; and he has not been smart enough to surround himself with really intelligent people.  I'd hold off on the Narcissist Personality Disorder, since it is difficult to know that is the case without personally knowing him.

As you well know, I voted for him and he has woefully disappointed me in almost every area.  I am not in favor of Hilary - I didn't agree with her politics when she was in the WH, and nothing I have seen since has changed my mind about her.    Yet, I am sad to say, that I haven't seen a Republican yet who has identified WH aspirations that I am anxious to see take the reins.  I am hoping there is someone out there who is thinking about it and keeping quiet for now.  I sincerely hope that Romney does not run as a retread, because I think we would find he too is quickly out of his depth.

And to the good Major - yes, they are supposed to UPHOLD the constitution, not twist to suit politcal agendas.

“Yet, I am sad to say, that I haven't seen a Republican yet who has identified WH aspirations that I am anxious to see take the reins.” [Hound; 17OCT14]

The right person to take the reins would be authoritative, well organized, able to take an appropriate amount of advice (and form it into a firm decision), and able to take the top spot in a failing organization and separate the wheat from the chaff. Such a person is seen as a blessing by the productive class… and a curse by the non productive class.

- - - - -

When the non productive class… predominately without intellectual qualifications… exceeds the voting numbers of the producers… they vote their own demise. The entitlement folks vote the common bowl larger without regard to the means of filling it. Such a course can lead only to a ship (of state) wreck… especially so when there is no captain.

This condition is recognized by those acquainted with history and understanding of current world events. What is, for our nation, desperately needed is for the enlightened to outnumber the entitled.

Yes, you have described a good administrator, which is essential.  But the individual also has to have a vision that they can articulate and also foreign policy experience.  A lot of people are good adminstrators, but that doesn't mean you can lead the country and have people buy into your vision.  I think that they need to understand global economics as well as diplomacy.  They need to understand the effective use of military power, lest we spend more time chasing our tails in wars we can't win.
