Time to put light on the positives of Lake Martin....

What are your 5 favorite things to do at the lake?

My Favorates:

1.Watching my kids learn new tricks on their wakeboards
2. Relaxing with a cold beer on the deck or dock.....and enjoying the beauty of our lake.
3. Slow evening cruises on the pontoon with friends
4. Cooking ribs on the grill
5. Forgetting about work
6. (extra credit) Reflecting on how lucky we are to live in a country
where 1-5 are possible.

I love the mornings when I have my book and coffee on the deck looking out over Blue Creek. Heaven.

I had to think about this one for a while,...

I enjoy sitting on the deck with friends soaking up what's left of the afternoon sun.
I enjoy cuddling up in a big over stuffed chair (with my son) watching out the window as late night boaters pass. He is usually so tired after wake boarding all day, that he quickly goes to sleep in my arms (not many 14 years olds would be caught dead like this,.....).
I like "joyriding" in the boat to places around the lake we haven't been or discovered yet.
I love "couples only weekends" at the lake, but it's priceless times when the kids are around (even thought they exhaust me) that I enjoy most.
I LOVE the lake in the winter, when it's quite and the water is low and clear and the trees are all differant colors.
My screen saver for the winter is of a picture I took this past fall. It's so peaceful looking. I can't wait to take a new one of my summer view.
