whether the Ft. Hood shooter was a terrorist Democrats in Congress sell our children's future with a 1,900 page monstrosity that will cost us $10 trillion over the next ten years, establish over 100 new federal bureaucracies, begin the unraveling of private health insurance and relegate us to permanent 10% unemployment just like every socialist country in Europe.
The programs won't begin until after the 2012 elections but the taxes begin right away. If you don't pay $15K per year for health insurance you go to jail. I could go on and on. I would normally hope for some sanity in the Senate but somehow I doubt it. Thank you moderates and independents for your vote in 2008 because you are responsible for this......HOPEless and CHANGE for the worse.
This is the first time in my life that I fear for our future.

Our Constitution allows for self-correcting. Now is the time when we shall see the true test of the power of this great document. Does the concept of liberty survive our peculiar perception of equality? Nowhere in nature, save mankind, does the concept of unearned equality exist (Charles Darwin, Survival of the fittest).
Darwin also postulated: Before a species becomes extinct on its own, it develops bizarre traits. Hmmmm… so we have! Not only do we tolerate drones… we coddle them.

Other than welfare reform can you provide me with one entitlement that has gone extinct (and that one just lost some weight)? I can't. Just curious if you have read Reagan's 1960's era speech about socialized medicine? I can assure you liberals have and they are on their way. Their calculation quite simply is that they are willing to accept short-term electoral defeat in order to ensure long-term liberal electoral success with the masses reliant on government for their health care. This bill will immediately increase the number on government provided health care from 110 million to almost 150 million (including illegals). After private insurance goes the way of the dinosaur for another 10 to 20 million we will have a majority of Americans dependent upon government and voting that way. Just examine the difference between a liberal and conservative in Europe and it is like comparing a liberal from San Francisco from a liberal in Iowa. Different shades of the same statist, big government animal. I hope you are right but I don't think so.

Sometime during the Florida - Vanderbilt game on Saturday night, the House of Representatives passed its version of the socialist takeover of healthcare. The vote for this 1990 page, $1.2 trillion dollar rape of America was 220 to 215. It passed by 50.6%.
Nancy Pelosi is ecstatic.
From the dark border of the forest the wolves are grinning and smacking their lips in anticipation. The old sheep dog sleeps on. The sheep are oblivious. The sweet iron smell of blood will soon drift, in the prevailing wind, out over the Atlantic.
The wolves will soon own the flock.

Let me make sure I'm getting your analogy , ...errr, mataphor (I never could distinguis between them) correct:
---the sheep are the American people?
---the sheep dog is Congress/national leaders?
---and the wolves are our enemies, foreign and domestic?
-now how far are we into the dark night (I'm assuming the wolves will attack just before dawn)? 2300 hrs? 2400 hrs? 0300? ???
