Something has been getting in my boat at the dock, and chewing up electrical wires!

What could it be, and how to get rid of it?

Son in law had same problem   Put a huge rat trap baited with peanut butter and caught him.  Also , could be a chipmunk.

I hear it's muskrats.

Floyd's has sticky traps little feet can't get out of.

Walmart also sells them in the grocery section where the insect stuff is.  They work great, I use them to catch those darn skinks ( multi corlored lizards ).  Have various sizes.  Good luck.

May be squirrels?  My friend had a Toyota Camry trashed by squirrels to the point the insurance company totaled it. They seem to like the insulation.
