Subject:   That "transitory" inflation is brutal
Date:   11/11/2021 9:30:25 AM

So when we first started to see signs of inflation we were assured it was "transitory" by the dismal economists in the Dementia Joe regime and the idiots in the govt media (as if there were such a thing).  Then when it seems to have stuck around they were no longer calling it transitory but were claiming it was actually a "good" thing because it was proof that the economy was turning around and when it does we should expect inflation.  Of course that ignores that we did not see inflation anywhere close to this in the last half dozen economic recoveries.  And then they explained that it was all being driven by high used car prices and energy...the first caused by supply chain issues and the second by the direct actions of the regime.

But now we have across the board inflation in pretty much every sector with an annualized rate of 6.2% or the highest in 30 years.  And it's hitting the pocketbooks of average middle and lower class Americans and has pretty much wiped out all the wage gains of the Trump admin.  All in less than a year.  And of course the Fed is now on a treadmill that they cannot get off of without some real pain.  If they elect to attack inflation they will have to tighten the money supply and raise interest rates.  That will kill the stock market, crush the housing industry and probably trigger a recession.  If they don't taper we could begin to see hyperinflation because what is different this time over the last recoveries is Congress pumping trillions into the economy that they do not have and must create out of thin air.  That causes inflation....every time.....something even Keynsians will admit.

Meanwhile, Kameltoe is lecturing French scientists like they are toddlers using a weird French accent talking about Le Plan! Le Plan! and Dementia Joe is asking people if they ever thought they'd be paying $4.50 a gallon for gas again.....as if he were some innocent bystander as shocked as they were instead of being the figurehead of the admin that took us from energy independence to begging OPEC for more oil in less than a year.  No wonder in a recent poll more people wanted Biden to resign than do any other thing.  And it's no wonder the left wing nuts have pretty much disappeared from the Forum.  I would likewise he utterly ashamed to have participated in electing these two half wits.  And like my friend's father used to say, things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get really, really bad. It's going to get worse because the people actually running things and telling our senile President what to say are socialist ideologues who didn't run for anything but are now incompetently running everything.  But hey, no mean tweets.

Time to consider moving into cash?  Our greed for more profit often outweighs our sense of reality.

Not really....seems like Powell sealed his fate when he talked about tapering so they will probably let him go and find someone new to delay reality which means more inflation.  But with inflation, cash is the absolute worst thing to do as it loses value every day.  And there is no way interest rates will keep up either.  Maybe real estate or commodities if you can stand the lack of liquidity and risk of the former and the volatility of the latter.  Either way, the Fed is in a difficult situation of their own making and if the economy goes in the tank they will literally have zero they can do about it.  Same problem with Carter until Volcker was appointed and they accepted the short term pain of combating inflation for the long term economic recovery.

Or does this make Carter  Biden 1.0 or Biden light -  since when we get rid of Biden we may look back on Carter as not nearly as bad as we now know it is and it is only going to get worse.

And Biden acts as if he is just an innocent bystander to it all.  Apparently someone sat him down and told him about supply and demand, so he has convinced himself that it isn't his fault at all.  It's just that there is excessive "demand".  I've run out of adjectives in describing Biden's stupidity.  Oh, but don't worry because his "build back better" is going to save the day.  After all, it's all paid for..... but then why are they so intent on additional taxes?

Now I wonder - Trump was going to make America Great Again, now Biden is "building back better"  so who ruined it?  Is Biden rebuilding from Obama's Administration?

I don't know when I have felt so disgusted.  Biden is incompetent, he has surrounded himself with incompetents.
