Compare Venezuela's path to Socialism/Communism to the various legislative/Presidential directives that are taking place in the USA. They are 10 to 12 years ahead of us based on how we are currently going.
Next steps
1. Eliminate the two term max for President via constitutional amendment.
2. Gun Control
3. A single party system via legalization of illegal immigrants
4. Strict control of the Internet - The press is already there.
5. Neutralize talk radio and Fox News
6. Weak military
7. Total government control of industry

I had the good fortune, this past weekend, to meet a lawyer who is part of the team preparing Florida’s constitutional challenge to the HCR which we just had rammed down our throat. With great interest I listened to him. The fellow and his wife have made a fortune in anti-trust law and he is a Con-law genius. There is a glimmer that our republic may prevail over the lawlessness, dishonesty, and dissembling in Congress and the White House.
He carefully explained BOTH sides of legality argument. The Tenth Amendment will prevail. The Commerce Clause has been stricken down previously.
There are 38 states preparing or planning litigation over this travesty.
I looked at Alabama's roll vote: UNANIMOUS! Democrats -- Bright, N; Davis, N. Republicans -- Aderholt, N; Bachus, N; Bonner, N; Griffith, N; Rogers, N.
