Subject:	Credit or blame to "Car Talk" this morning

There is a magician working the cruise ship circuit.  He gains an admirable reputation over the years.  One day he decides to incorporate a live parrot into the act instead of a rabbit.  He is unaware but the parrot is paying very close attention to the act.  One night the parrot sqawks loudly "It's in his other hand." to spoil a trick.  A couple of days later the parrot speaks again saying "Hey it's obvious, there is a trap door."  Pretty soon the parrot is completely spoiling the act by spouting the "magic" for every trick.  The magician has to completely rework his entire act but eventually the parrot is giving away what is happening for all the new tricks.  This goes on for months and the magician comes to hate the parrot.  One night the cruise ship strikes an iceberg and sinks.  The magician and parrot end up sitting at opposite ends of a floating door staring at each other.  Neither says anything for several minutes...finally the parrot sqawks "OK, OK, I give up, what did you do with the ship?"
