the sun will come up and life will go on, no matter who wins.  I just hope that all those that said they would move to Canada if Trump or Hillary won, will go ahead and do so.  It takes a new President almost a year to pick cabinet (and all the attendant assistant secretaries and deputy secretarities) and those people have to be confirmed  and get into place.  The first year is usually a wash.

I sincerely hope it isn't Hillary who in the long term will be a disaster as she tries to fulfill all her campaign promises.  Our best hope then is that she is only a transitional President.  If the leadership of Congress does not turn over, her term(s) will be like the last 8 years.

I'm not worried about the campaign lies, err,  promises but I am terrified about what all those "donors" are expecting and unlike us unaware compliant deplorable s they WILL DEMAND their due.

If she wins and delivers on one-fourth of her campaign lies, err promises, it might be noteworthy. But I'm like you , the quid pro quo is where the rubber hits the road.

In the political world no one gives anything without an expectation of a quid pro quo.  But then, this is Hillary we are talking about, so she may leave them in her dust, having used them for her own purposes.  She's not exactly loyal and there will be nothing more for her to gain.  No doubt she is a "you scratch my back, you scratch my back" and that's the end of it.  I hope that if she wins, the Congress majority stays the same and she gets nothing done.

Most laws that come out of D.C. or Montgomery (replace with any state capital or city's name) seem to be costly and/or repressive.  Gridlock is a good thing, just slows down the march to make the U.S.A. just like every other country in the world…

I think there are some laws and regulations that serve a needed purpose.  Sometimes by the time they are staff and approved, they don't really reflect the original intent.  and then the lawyers get involved.  I know when I was working I would get a copy of the "ledg" book every year, and it was over 8 inches high.  And then it doesn't contain the original law, it just includes what was changed, referred to by the "SS" number.  I actually wonder if anyone than the lawyer can interpret was has been added or changed.  I'm sure it is all online now. Everyone has to put their 2cents in until it becomes unworkable.

Even things that start out good for a logical reason, soon get modified and revised to the point that they are meaningless.
