Wall Street is deal more with the realities of an Obama administration and heading south again. It looked like it was going to be a good day but the news of Obama at the Whitehouse sent shock waves through Wall Street as the reality started to sink in.

Poor boy, I keep telling you to buy short selling EFTs. since the market is headed down now that we have a Socialist President Elect. You need to invest intelligently and read the market. It is going to be a longgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg 4 years for you.

It is sad that DHL is laying off 13,000 in the US, Circuit City declares bankruptcy, and GM is heading to bankruptcy. Market went up on China's plan but the sorry state of affairs in the US brought back the reality that we are in a recession. To you it is all about President Elect Obama visiting the White House. Hope you base you investment decisions on more solid reasons.

Didn't know you could short an EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). Might try an ETF instead.

I am used to GF stupid statements and all the things he says that make no sense ... so i dod not othere replying to him any more. But thanks for pointing out his stupidity .... it was tempting when he commented but I was trying to save him further embarrassment from what he does to himself. It dates back to his childhood.

I guess it wouldn't have anything to do with giving another huge hunk of money to AIG to keep them afloat, the failing auto industry, the layoffs and bankruptsies?
it's just because Obama went to the WH to meet with Bush?

I think maybe you need to broaden your horizons. We're still in a financial free -fall. And that has nothing to do with Obama.

I don't think that anyone who composes a sentence such as "so i dod not othere replying to him any more" needs to be pointing out anyone else's stupidity.

Wow ... you got me. Good one. But I have to tell you that typos on a laptop with keyboard problems is not stupidity, the thoughts and concepts put forth are. But since you pointed out my keyboard problems, I guess i will try to start rereading before i hit the enter key so i can correct the typos for you. Whoever you are. Have not seen you post here before and now you run to GF rescue ... this has happened before. Hummm. But what I was saying is that "I do not bother to reply to his posts". Never know, i may be right now.

have a sense of humor. Of course it did not have to do with O going to the WH. But he is scaring people that he has already identified 200 executive orders he is going to reverse. That happens with every president and more so with a change in administration. But it has always been done very quitely. O is creating nervousness on Wall Street with statements like this since the general feeling is that he will keep to his socialist agenda and raise taxes.

O has asked Bush to support the bail out for the unions, I mean car makers .... so that can not make you too happy.

Just remember it was the liberal democrat policy with sub prime mortgages that was started under Carter and expanded under Clinton that created this financial mess we are in, and when it was tried to be addressed before it became a crisis the dems that controlled both houses of congress laughed that there was not a problem and it was just a way to deny affordable housing.

one of the executive orders he is going to reverse is the off shore drilling for oil in certain areas. Ok that will be great for the economy ... we import more (no US job creation or purchases from the US businesses that create more jobs) and with OPEC cutting back that means higher oil and gasoline prices which should really stimulate the economy.

Oh yeah he cares about lower income people ... who does higher oil prices hurt the most? Oh I forgot .... Obama he gonna halp me. I won't have to worry about paying for my gas or my mortgage.

stu⋅pid⋅i⋅ty   /stuˈpɪdɪti, styu-/

1. the state, quality, or fact of being stupid.
2. a stupid act, notion, speech, etc.

Does not say anything about typos. But #2 definitely fits GF.

BTW, I just saw you are a brand new member with two posts and your first thoughts are to come to the defense of GF. Very strange that if you are not GF, since we all know he posts under very names to support his out of touch ideas, this would be your first thoughts to post on this board. Especially at 1am when GF posts many times.

When the price was $4 back in the summer the great O said this was a good thing, that it needed to by higher, and that he only wishes it would rise at a slower rate.

What a guy. Gonna be fun 4 years.

Well, you are right about the bail out -- I'm not happy. This morning I saw on the news that the new Envoy to Pakistan thinks we should bail out Pakistan.
We're bailing out AIG, and they are still sending their executives to luxury ressorts (but in a very low key way).
And Citi has started bailing out homeowners.

I always thought that bailing out was what you did when the airplane was going down; or the boat was sinking; or you had water in your basement.

The offshore drilling thing has never made sense to me. I understand the concerns about the environment, but why wouldn't it make sense to drill? We need to devote research to alternative energies, but why not drill now?

There is absolutely no reason we should drill not be able to drill for oil anywhere (including ANWR). The technology and safety controls, as well as the rapid response programs in the case of a release are more than adequate.

Here's an interesting point that should make you gnash your teeth. Do you realize that the Chinese are exploring for oil off the coast of Florida? They have contracts with the government of Cuba. So while the Chinese explore for oil (in a way that I guarantee is not sensitive to the environment) we are prohibited by Democrats in Congress. It is the most counter productive, inane thing I have ever seen.

We should absolutely be looking for alternative energy but to artificially hamper our energy production while the rest of the world explores away only guarantees our sending billions of dollars to prop up unfriendly governments like Venezuala and those in the middle east. It is easy to see where Dem's being beholden to environmental groups (the last official bastion of anti-capitalists and socialists) has damaged our national security.

Like I said yesterday, a key in the auto industry is opening up free trade with Columbia, who has the market and capital for our automobiles, but no manufacturing capabilty. Tariffs are killing us, but somehow, benefit the unions in ways I do not understand, but would like to be educated on. So what does GWB do today? He will consider a bailout only if a free trade agreement with Columbia is passed. O and the dems, beholden to the unions, are against free trade with Columbia and would rather see GM go under before the end of the year and wait until inauguration to enact their unilateral policies. Way to reach across the aisle Obama. Real change you can believe in.....My ##ss.

I am not a new member at all; I signed up and first posted back in the summer. I am sure I have more than two posts, though it would not surprise me that some of them were in threads that have since been deleted.

You are also wrong to state that my first posts are to come to anyone's defense. Look up the origins of my username, and you'll probably be able to figure out what most of my posts will concern. And to emphasize a point, I wasn't coming to the defense of anyone. My response did not address the other person's remarks in any way; it was specifically directed towards you and your post.

I do want to thank you for the definition of "stupidity," though I can assure you that no matter what you think, you are not the only person here who knows the meanings of everyday words, and no matter how condescending you come across that will not change, Going by your definition, wouldn't posting in such a way to make oneself appear intelligent but not bothering to do the first bit of proofreading qualify as "a stupid act, notion, etc?"

While I'm sitting here waiting for my lunch to arrive, I think I'll go back through all of your recent posts and point out your spelling and grammatical inadequacies. Fortunately, I have almost an entire hour, so I should be able to get through several threads.

Wall Street is deal more with the realities -- I suppose you meant "dealing:' darn that keyboard that is missing i, n and g.

Whitehouse -- It is "White House." Two words. Any patriotic American would know that. So what does that make you?

"I have to tell you that typos on a laptop with keyboard problems is not stupidity, the thoughts and concepts put forth are." So you admit that it's not your typing or your keyboard, rather it's your thoughts and concepts that are the problem? We might have found something we can agree on.

"Obama he gonna halp me."-- I'm not sure whether this is more of your poor typing/spelling, or just an attempt at racial stereotyping via dialect. I had not pegged you as a racist, but maybe I'll learn more as I read more.

Where is Al Gore when we need him?.. He needs to expain the environmental risks to the Chinese.

No, I didn't know that about the Chinese, but it doesn't surprise me either.
