Weekenders (and others) who think it is o.k. to throw out their MANY bags of garbage somewhere near my can by the road. I am usually able to identify those scumbags by going through their trash (a very degrading task) and get a phone number and call them. I have made calls to B'ham, Montgomery, and Atlanta to speak with the low-lifes. I have found them all to be "pillar-of-community" types who simply thought they could
get away with it. They are getting smarter, though. Four weeks ago, someone dumped 4 bags of trash along with a spent case of super-jumbo fireworks purchased from Shelton's just off I-85 near GA line. Dogs and night critters scattered the crap all over the road and my driveway. Of course, I was the one to have to pick it up and overload my
can. They carefully removed the address label from an Overton's catalog and all other items with positive id info. They do have a daughter named
Brooke and recently replaced a radio speaker and a horn in their boat...from the Atlanta area and had a map to the Georgia Club near Athens....drink Bud lite, Coors lite, Miller lite (then again, who doesn't?)...
yes, I would love to be lucky enough for someone reading this to tell me who the scumbags are.........now, what was this thread supposed to be
about?........DON'T GET ME STARTED!!!!!

I'm with ya Bigfoot. I despise seeing folks pulling off from islands and beaches and leaving trash behind. I have actually chased a couple of folks down to let them know. One actually bagged the trash, then left it on an island. I saw them pull off without it so I pulled over, picked it up and chased them down and threw it on their nice shiney new boat. They didn't like it, but my boat was faster...LOL. The others just got an excellent butt chewing, but they were just kids. I bet they don't do it again. They were apolagetic and turned around to go back and get it.
My rule is:
ALWAYS BRING MORE TRASH HOME THAN YOU TAKE OUT WITH YOU!!

Good rule, LTL........glad to see others moved to action about the
improper disposal of trash.....the three that I called only received a
tongue-lashing but deserved to have to pay the rather hefty fine for
littering($500, I think).......

Wow. Nobody even acknowledged what I said. Must be guilty conciences lurking. Those boats are made for rough water. All they do is MAKE WATER ROUGH. Please, if you own a boat like this, stay out in the big water.....the boat can handle it and the slough you are ruining can be utilized by the lesser of us whose chose to own a boat suitable for the area we live in. Big water is only a short ride away from anywhere on the lake. Either that or come help me rebuild my seawall when it collapses. Either would be the right thing to do.

Outlaw? Naa. Just having informed, courteous people would suffice. I think pretty highly of the people that venture onto the lake but feel they are ill-informed. If they only knew.....
It was really tough on us to not be able to enjoy our place last weekend.

Well, I have a wakeboard boat, and would hardly call it Big. I think idiot tubers are way worse. Food for thought CC, I could barely dock my boat over the holiday weekend on 2 separate occassions because of fishing boats camped out 2 feet from my dock! You know what I'm sick of... folks who don't put their boats on whips and cry about it!!

Holier-than-thou types who pigeonhole everyone according to how "liberal" or "conservative" they are. In the end, they only show thier stupidity to everyone.
For example, this poster decries liberals (BAD) and lauds conservatives (GOOD.) In other words, he thinks the liberal Ghandi was a bad person, and the more conservative Adolph Hitler was good.
He's entitles to believe what he chooses. But telling people that he idolizes Hitler is stupid.
