The trials went great! I knew there were going to be some issues but that is why there are SEA TRIALS Right? I found I need 2 new bellows, carbs need to be cleaned, and a port gimbal bearing
Also it's jamming in gear on the starboard engine. Cut it off and it will come out of gear, Not sure why about that.

Any way, we did get it in the water and had some great runs. Ulysses E. McGill came by to see the event, but was on a mission to steal Mavs dock so he left before he could see the runs. What's that boy want with his dock? who knows maybe it has to do with the pontoon race and a hostage situation I don't know.. A Huge thanks to Maria1 for the use of the boat ramp and chase boat! Your Number one in my book Dean. Also some thug named Larry came by sporting a pretty lady in his boat. He watched me try to get the boat on the water but decided I was to dangerous to be around and left.

All in all it was a good time and good run.........

Thanks for all the help and support...

Heather!

I'm disappointed we missed the actual launch (picture looks great). As you know, by the time we made it back south you were on your way home for repairs....hope all is ready for a big cruise next weekend!

The problem getting it out of gear? Check the interrupter microswitch that kills the engine for an instant during shifting. Located top of engine on shift cable. Symptom is classic, thought it could be something else.

well......when you warned us that it was sticking in reverse and to give you plenty of room......and then took off towards powerline point......we watched for a moment and then headed in to get ready to go into Montgomery last night. Should of stayed.

should be adjusted while the boat is in the water, so that the torque of the water on the propeller is in play. Very aggravating adjustment so the engine doesn't die when you shift. In my opinion, it's the worst part of a Mercruiser outdrive--mostly because it is so hard for me to adjust correctly.

Also, make sure idle rpm is around 600. It should shift easier then. I come fix it for you. I need to talk to you about something anyway.
