apparently different segments of the executive branch forget that they work for the Preident. I have seen posts by the "alt Park Rangers" and "alt NASA" and now some leftover Obama appointment at the Justice Department has directed that Justice Department lawyers "will not" make the case for Trumps immigation policy.
These people need to be fired. As a government employee, you are apolitical and you serve whatever Administration is in power (assuming what they are doing is legal under the Constitution). I can only assume that jobs are now being filled by Snowflakes who think that they are in charge. I really hope they find out that they are messing with the wrong President. (Remember when Reagan fired the air traffic controllers over their strike). I guess Obama has managed in his 8 year do nothing Administration has also managed to fill the ranks with do nothing snowflakes. I hope he cuts all their budgets.

She's not a snowflake. She is a lawyer doing her job. If you Trumpanzees would get your heads out of the Fox cloud and listen to what the bipartisan experts are saying you might actually learn something. Just listen to Juliani's explanation of how this came about.

Snowflake???It took "balls" to stand up to Trump. She should have resigned after she spoke. Would have made a HUGE statement since Session was going to release her even without the refusal to defend the order. She will be on the speaking circuit and on cable. Good for her.
Scary, how poorly the order was written. Have to wonder how Trump and Bannon will handle a real crisis. Translators in Iraq are going to think twice before they agree to help us.
Waiting for Tillerson to take on China over the islands in the S China sea. I assume the Iranian agreement will be addressed shortly.

The funny thing is I have looked and could not find her objections to Obama halting refugees from Iraq for 6 months. Nor could I find any objections to Obama naming these six countries as a danger from terrorists masking as refugees. Tsk, tsk......yeah, she is such a courageous attorney.....not! Although a critic of the EO, even Alan Dershowitz said Trump was right to fire her. She should have just resigned in protest.
On a positive note, she is going to get invited to all the best cocktail parties in DC, the upper East and West Sides and La La Land. So she has that going for her. Maybe she can put that on her resume.

RHH,
You need to be able to separate legal fact from political MSM fiction. In order for you comments to hold weight, just what aspect of the order do you find legally wanting? For that matter, just what part of the order do you find morally wanting? For crying out loud, a 90 and in some cases 120 day period of delaying immigrant and non immigrant Visas from individuals coming from volatile countries upsets you? Do you object to the Green Card temporary ban as well? How would you then prevent US Somali immigrants from traveling overseas for jihadi training and then returning legally to the US. I certainly want them detained until far more rigorous vetting procedures are in place, don't you? This order is legally in good standing and morally helps to protect me and my family. Don't give a hoot about moral obligations to refugees for 90-120 days.....

Like I said, the Trumpanzees will continue to support these kind of moves until their ox is gored. Trump will slowly loose support across the country. Alabama and the Lake Martin Forum angry mob will not be among those to admit their mistake, however. They will never admit that they supported an unstable character for President. The rest of the country will. I just hope not too much damage is done in the meantime.

RHH And GFY are all about allowing in terrorists.
They have not posted that their coronated king banned Cubians seeking asylum on his way out the door
or that Obama denied asylum to iraqi christians and had them returned to Iraq becuase they were not enough of a hard luck case?
its funny that we were admiting a record number of muslims. If its a religion, then we were apparently giving priority to one religion over another, and if its a political system that is not in line with our own rights and freedoms then that just does not make sense.

While the Obama subjects will piss and moan while their ox is rolled back. Trump will gain support the more you piss and moan. Alabama and the Lake Martin/Logan martin Fourm angry mod will be among those will when Trump does actually make a mistake will be happy to point it out and call for investigations. You will never admit that you suppoed an unstable character for President(Obama) and the rest of the country has paid. Obama on his way out the door rolled the truck off the road, over the ditch and pushed it off the cliff, I just hope that the damage of the last 8 years was not too much for Trump and deplorables to recover this country.

What he finds objectionable is it was done by Trump. Unless he can point to his outrage and characterization of Obama as deranged when he prevented Iraqis from coming to the U.S. and developed the list of countries that are suspected of sending terrorists in under the guise of refugee then he is just a partisan. There is a reason a recent poll indicated a majority of Americans support the EO. They have common sense and are more concerned about our safety than offending Islamofascists.
I am beginning to suspect that RHH is Archie in disguise. Can't believe there are two people on this forum that hold America with such contempt.

sorry, I don't believe any balls were involved. She was an Obama holdover and would be leaving anyway, so she had nothing to lose. No doubt this will enhance her resume as she looks for a liberal law firm to work for, now that she is jobless.
This was a totally political move. She came to the conclusion on her own, without giving justice lawyers a chance to analyze it and come up to their own determination,

My first thought was "will she be subject to Trumps EO not allowing govenrment officials to go to work for Lobbyist"?
She will likely find a new home at a liberal law firm that specializes in immigration law.

It's a shame that Obama can't admit to his failures over the last eight years. Now he has the gall to offer his two-cents worth, and proclaim his admiration for all the "snowflakes" who are demonstrating around the country and show no support for the changes that are long over due in our government.

Copperline is busy on FB, ignoring financial realities. I read a lot of liberal posts on FB. It shows that they still have no concept of money, financial systems, and most of their guiding principles, these days, are all based on hating Trump, not the the merits of his actions. They are convinced that if he did it, it must be wrong. They still want to take in thousands of refugees without considering how they will be supported, they believe we are "persecuting" Muslims with a ban on immigrations from known terrorist training camp countries, and they don't want the wall because they are worried about the poor Mexicans. When you ask them for alternative ideas about what should be done, they don't have any, nor do they have any idea where the money would come from to pay for the utopia they want. They still believe in the free lunch; that if you are kind, then everything will be okay. They do not want you to point out that all those immigrants who came through Ellis Island were doing so legally and pursing the legal path to citizenship.
They are waiting, just wishin and hopin that Trump will be magically impeached.

The problem is that he has nothing else to do. And the media, not having gotten over their love affair with him, are peeing their pants in excitement every time he speaks. You'd think he would have a book to write or the rubber chicken circuit or a library to build. I don't admire much about GWB, but I did admire how he kept his mouth shut when Obama took office. I think Obama is worried that Trump is already tanishing his image, by getting more done in 2 weeks than he got done in 8 years.
LOL, yesterday there was a "protest" at Montgomey Airport. Although there are no flights in or out of there from the countries the ban is on, they were protesting in solidarity. Teenagers with too much time and too much access to the internet, The local news carried it.

I think these protests are pre-planned with paid protestors. I just wish I had come across a protestor last week in an airport that was either heckling me getting off a long flight, or prevented me from being on time for a flight. You would think airport authorities have fairly stringent protocol for allowing spontaneous protests. On the other hand, most of them are run by urban dems and there are probably no guidelines unless you or I showed up to protest.

... Scary, how poorly the order was written.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/28/politics/text-of-trump-executive-order-nation-ban-refugees/
damn it has words - no wonder you could not read it. it was pretty clear to me. It even referenced laws and facts - guess that is why you had lots of problems with reading comprehension.
In order to protect Americans, the United States must ensure that those admitted to this country do not bear hostile attitudes toward it and its founding principles. The United States cannot, and should not, admit those who do not support the Constitution, or those who would place violent ideologies over American law. In addition, the United States should not admit those who engage in acts of bigotry or hatred (including "honor" killings, other forms of violence against women, or the persecution of those who practice religions different from their own) or those who would oppress Americans of any race, gender, or sexual orientation.
It is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from foreign nationals who intend to commit terrorist attacks in the United States; and to prevent the admission of foreign nationals who intend to exploit United States immigration laws for malevolent purposes.
Holy cow - there it is in black and white the "muslim ban", as long as you Goofy finally wish to define the muslim religion/political beliefs as oppressive to race, gender and sexual orientation and not being consistant with our founding principles.

I think social media contributes quite a bit too. LOL, I grew up in the age of protests over Viet Nam... but I wasn't allowed to protest because my father worked for the government and he said that the Defense Department was keeping a roof over my head and food on the table, so who the h___ was I to protest? At that age, I had no idea about geo-politics, I couldn't have told you how we got there (nor did I know that my future husband was over there fighting, as were many people who would become good friends).
I wonder if the protesters aren't a little excited about participating in something that big, some of the may remember back in the day when they protested the war, and some are just totally clueless.

Still not fixed. Am waiting until spring to get it fixed as they will need to run it to find the leak. I am hoping its a hose and not the system itself. As for taking it to Steve, I am still grinding on that one. It's a really big boat and my trailer is not the best so I dread the trip. If I can find someone local and reliable I am probably going that route. If not, I will sweat the drive to Pratteville.
Sad performance by the Steelers in the AFC championship game. Out coached and out played. Seems to me that the current coaching and GM need to be upgraded. Tomlin and Haley need to be replaced as well as the GM. But they can't just retread some head coach out of work. What is even sadder is that I was given two SB tix and am going to cheer for the Falcons. They will need to be perfect and put a lotof pressure on Brady. Basically play the opposite of the Steelers.

Woeful performance from the Black and Gold. Brady won't see any zone defense against the Falcons. Your assessment of the coaching and GM performance is right on with the feeling amongst the natives up there. I thought that Tomline was secure, but maybe Bradshaw was right after all?

Hard to say as the Rooneys are slow to move under the worst of circumstances but Tomlin to me seemed like a political pick and they will be hesitant to fire him. Recall he was hired when there was a big push to promote black head coaches in the NFL. The real question that has yet to be answered is whether they will accept mediocre results rather than make a difficult decision. If it's the former Tomlin will be there as long as he wants regardless of the results which is a sorry state of affairs for the fans.
