Overcast at the lake. Seems we are a bit too dry yet.

I was just outside filling the bird feeders -- it's not particularly cold. But, my bones are hurting so some sort of weather is coming.

Started snowing at 9:15. Very little accumulation on decks and none on ground after a hour.

It's snowing pretty good right now (1:30). There's some snow on the ground, but it's not sticking to the roads. It's very pretty, the way it is laying on the trees and bushes, particularly on the pine trees. It was like a winter postcard when I was driving back from Alex City.

Parker Creek South...maybe an inch on my trailer, nothing on the roads. As 'hound stated the woods were beautiful

It's going quickly. The sun is shining here today. The pavements are perfectly clear.

I drove down to the lake from Birmingham at about 2PM. I can tell you we had way more snow in Bham than at the lake. Around Sylacauga it quit snowing very hard and continued to decline as I drove south. :(!!

I'm glad my daughter and mother-in-law live near Kent. The Farm was absolutely beautfiul, as was my daughter's house. I left home around 10:00 Friday morning and when I go back to the lake Friday evening (around 5:00), I thought I was in a different state. Very, very little snow. That is expected at the water. Inland was beautiful.

Had fun with grandchildren making snowmen, snowturtles, snow christmas trees (with berries) snowballs, watching the horses run in the snow and trying to figure out the best way to ride the "slopes" on cardboard. I think by this morning it was too soft. So, being the grandparents, we pulled the kids down the hill. Quite frankly, I was hoping my big ole' butt would fit on a cardboard box and I could relive my childhood in Virginia and slide all the way down the hill.....it didn't happen.

It was a good photo memory with grandkids.
