It's funny how mother nature supports the 480 winter rule. It's hard to argue. The winter level will never be 483.

"We drop Martin to the winter level of 480 feet to allow property owners to have access to docks and boathouses for maintenance, but also to be able to contain the amount of rainfall we usually get over the winter," she said. "We work with the weather service and other agencies on a daily basis to determine releases to keep flooding at an absolute minimum. We do that at Martin and the other reservoirs we have in the state as well."

go back to the original level of the river in the winter time. Isn't that what God (mother nature) gave us. Oh, but that is what we were given for the summer time also.

LETS SEE YOU DRIVE YOUR PONTOON ON THAT

You quote someone but don't give us any information on whom you are quoting. I for one would like to read the whole statment in its entirety.

Toon,

Why, then, did they raise the winter pool level by 1/2 at Logan Martin and one other lake which I cannot recall?

Don't know. What I do know is 483 will never happen.

He's all knowing and quite pompous, but can't even spell flood.

I thought we already answered that. I'm all for 483; make Martin a "run of the river" lake, just like many other APCO lakes.

I'm not sure why you have difficulty with this.

You should look up the difference between impoundments and resivoirs. They serve different purposes and fall under different rules.

Rules can be changed. Just like 480 to 483.
