He does not like media that does not agree with him. So anyone that dares offer an opposing view he has decided to ban anyone in his administration to go on FOX.

But the funny thing is ... FOX ratings were already #1 and now they have increased further as others tune in to see why they were banned.

On the Sunday talk shows, someone from Obama's administration was on every channel except FOX. Obama himself was on 3 channels. His media secretary (or Czar) publically said they choose not to allow anyone to go on FOX until they stopped they attacks on the Obama administration.

Gues what ... the Sunday FOX show was still #1 ... guess it did help them hurt FOX.

Anyone who disagrees with the WH will be attacked. Liberals now control the news rooms except at Fox. NBC news worshipped Obama in the election and continues to do so. The same thing could be said for CNN. Dark days for this country.

With so much going on here in the US and the rest of the world that Obama spends time worrying about Fox. Dark times indeed. What's next? An executive order to take them off the air?

What do you mean he has "banned" Fox news? Out of existence?

You know, Fox positioned themselves as a mouthpiece for the Bush (read: conservatives) Administration. It was a consious decision when all the TV's in the Pentagon (my frame of reference) were turned from CNN to Fox, because Fox was not critical of the war in Iraq.

Stations can't have it both ways. Maybe Obama feels like Bush stated "You are either with us, or against us".

Personally, I would just as soon have my elected and appointed officials doing their jobs rather than talking about it. I have come to believe there are far too many talking head shows and none of them have any particular credibility with me. It's all about ratings.

If the TV's were switched to Fox because of the message that they broadcast, it is one thing. If our Government is not giving an equal opportunity to Fox to question and report, it is quite another. It gives the appearance that we have a weak and insecure leadership that is unwilling (or unable) to operate in an environment that is not bowing at your feet.

Since time immemorial administrations have been at war with the media when they are at odds on the issues. What makes this so interesting is they are targeting one cable news channel. It is just another example of diminishing the office when they start to picking on one outlet. What is doubly ironic is that no matter how hard they try Fox News kills the other cable shows. Typically the highest performing Fox show has more viewers than the four most highly rater non-Fox cable shows combined.

As for Hound's comments about ratings I would agree to a point. What is obvious is that Fox has a formula for getting great ratings. What is mystifying is watching the dinosaur media and the other sycophants for the Obama administration slouch toward ruin. So for them it really doesn't appear to be "all about ratings". It appears to be all about their liberal orthodoxy and forget the ratings. It is comical watching them self destruct and disheartening watching an administration marching from one failure to the next all the while fixating on a puny cable news show. What a waste of the people's money.....

Every Adminsitration has certain outlets that they use more than others. Bush's was Fox.

I wouldn't get too excited about a #1 rating for Fox. The majority of younger people don't watch TV news at all -- they get their news from the internet and if they are not already, they will soon be the largest group of voters.
LOL, I watch Fox sometimes and I have to laugh because they are always so puffed about something -- no doubt appealing to their conservative viewers.

Fox is, and has been, outside the loop of interviews. Obama and Clinton used them only when it got too close. As far as getting "puffy" - I agree, some of the commentators use more ..uh ..compasion than others, but that is what gets ratings. I stopped watching CNN several years back when they sent the older leads out to pasture and replaced them with a bunch of kids. I do like Sheppard Smith, because of his entertainment value though.
