... about a leased lot. I know this is not about APCO, but a large corporate entity is very "government like", and long term policies can change.

Just food for thought.

When you rent and there is no restriction in the lease as to an increase, this is what you face. They have enjoyed the land with no property tax and pay only $1,500 per month.

As a taxpayer I feel like they need to pay their fair share. Now, they will pay around $1,400 per month to rent water front land with no property tax. The increase is too stiff but these people have been under paying fair value for water front property for years. They certainly should be paying more.

It is not the cabin but the value of the land as we all well know.

Same thing could happen with Ala Power. Don't own the land, chance you take.

I would think that AL Power pays the taxes on the lot.
