Incidentally, Loud Dobbs is leaving CNN effective immediately. This was announced on 11/11/09.

We see now the value of the fourth estate empowered by the 1st Amendment: Article the third [Amendment I] “Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech...”

That Lou Dobbs did this on CNN is a real screech!
Leaving CNN… Where did you learn this? If he begins contributing to FOX, I’d say the chickens ARE coming home to roost.

This is most unfortunate for CNN. The liberal media claims that FOX is not fair-and-balanced. CNN is heavily unbalanced to the left. All they would have to do is announce that CNN will feature opinion from BOTH sides of the spectrum… and keep Mr. Dobbs happily in his seat with his mind and mouth unfettered by corporate censorship.

CNN is killing itself. Their audience is dwindling. Remember the “Scud Stud” and the on-the-spot reporting of Baghdad’s pounding under “shock and awe”? In those days, we all were mesmerized by Christiane and Wolf.

I applaud Lou Dobbs. I respect that he is searching for a better and more effective venue… one where he will be appreciated. He does what Glen Beck does… but he does it with more class… and less whining.

Like he was probably encouraged to leave by CNN.
But, assuming that is not the case, and he really wants to do something else, well, good for him. He's old enough to know what it is he wants to do and I hope he gets the opportunity. Not that we need another talking head -- but maybe he'll take on some issues that everyone else is not addressing... like immigration.
