The left must be in control. Fear is a method of sustaining such control. The demeaning language and imagery wielded by liberals against Sarah Palin is despicable. Beneath the sexual connotations and even direct sexual references to her, we find the rhetorical threat that suggests rape for her.

How could I make such a statement? Perhaps I did so after reading the experience of a woman who mistakenly sought refuge in the den of wolves. She correctly defines the motive for and method of the misogynistic campaign against Sarah Palin.

You are correct. They fear her, who she is, what she is, what she values, what she stands for, as each and all of these stand in stark contrast to wants and stated needs of the leftists.

Recent poll had her beating Obama when asked if an election was held today and the candidates were Obama and Palin who would you vote for.

It is definitely and indication of the horrible job Obama is doing and his failed policies ... but I also feel people feel more comfortable with her values and straight talk.

In Your dreams....

Sarah's made her choice and she chose celebrity over being a serious politician. No one forced her -- she could have written a serious book. For me, it just reinforced that she has no serious throughts beyond her folksy rhetoric.

And no, I don't fear her, I'm not jealous of her and I don't think she deserves to hold serious office in this country.

Not in my dreams ... I was just sharing the poll I heard on CNBC. I do not think she will run, and even if she does I don't think she will get the nomination. But I do believe people are getting very fed up with Obama and his failed policies ... not to mention his irrogance.

Obama's personal popularity remains relatively high.
Natually his job rating approval is going to fall -- we have record unemployment and people are still unsure about the economy.

Which specifically of his policies do you see as "failed"?

I really think the question is ... which do you see as a success. A much shorter response ... if I get one at all.

I can not think of one thing he has done that I would consider positive, good for the economy, or the country.

Can you? What are you proud of that he has accomplished or done.

Everything he has said he will do he has either not done ... and what he has attempted to do and committed he will do, he has either failed or made excuses.

The guy is so narcissistic, he can not admit he has failed and continues to blame others for his own failures.

He is the worst president in the history of this county ... you are entitled to an opposing view ... but please support. I still hope and pray he listens to others for the sake of our country. We are on a course to disaster, including bankrupting this country and destroying capitalism.

And yet you voted for Obama. One has to wonder just what you believe constitutes a "serious" politician. Since you voted for the Messiah its kind of hard to take your views all that seriously.

As for Palin, its kind of funny that she writes a book and she is "going for celebrity" and Obama writes a book that is a self absorbed narcissistic monument to his monumental ego and you took him seriously anyway. How do you explain that obvious contradiction?

This is a serious answer....you asked and I will provide you with my opinion.

Economic policy. Tax cuts for small businesses would have spurred the economy much faster than, for example, $80 million for the national Endowment for the Arts so that "artists" can insult the taxpayers who make it possible for them to do so. And bailing out flawed businesses by infusing copious amounts of taxpayer (present and future) money is a travesty.

National Security. Secretly, the other powers of the world are just sitting back and watching Obama cowtow to the whole lot of them, salivating at the potential opportunities to further their own national interest at our expense. While Bush took the "we're the baddest on the block" too far, you shoyuld have learned in your dealings within the DoD that the only effective way to negotiate is from a position of power.

Health Insurance. He, along with his Democratic cronies, are trying to develop a nation who must depend on the federal government for their sheer existence - and at the expense of those who fuel the economic engine that creates the wealth eh wants to redistribute. Its a shame that the nation didn't heed the Joe the Plumber slip up, because that is exactly what Obama is trying to do -- take from those who work and think and give it to the masses who can't or choose not to do for themselves.

Now, without cherry-picking my opinion, to which I am entitled, I would like to provide us with a rundown, in positive terms, of what you think Mr. Obama is doing right.

I did not think you could come up with anything Hound. It is so odd what drives liberals loyalty in this disaster we call president if it is not results and accomplishments.

I asked you the question, and you tried to turn the tables on me. I asked you a legitimate question in response to your comment on "failed" policies. You often mention this, but don't articulate which policies you think are "failed".

So get off my back and answer the question. How like someone of a conservative persuasion to answer a question with a question --

I'm waiting... and the crickets are chirping.

Actually, Obama has written two. One was his autobiography and the other is a serious political book. I don't think he spends time being vindictive against people in his own party.
You don't have to agree with his politics, but he is a serious politican and a serious policy wonk.

I already answered it and have posted my question several times.

My answer is that there is no policy that he has implemented that has worked successfully or been beneficial to the economy, unemployment or nationtional security. So to list evry policy and just state that it has failed is a waste of time.

So now your turn ... what policy do you feel has been successful and good for the country, the economy or national security?

Thanks ... I needed a good laugh. That was funny. Thanks for the humor. :) That should have probably been posted in the jokes section.

BTW ... the next unemployment report will have unemployment at over 11.5%

Obama is at least destroying less jobs each month (for now) ... we actually broke below 500,000 new claims filed this last week ... and continuing claims (those collecting unemployment) was down to $5.8 million .... although the latest reports says real unemployment is closer to 18%.

But he will keep making jokes and showing lack of leadership and sensitivity as he pushes his agenda. I wonder when he will look in the mirror and admit he is a bigger failure than Jimmy Carter. The last great socialist.

There is no way Hound can find anything positive to point to. She is doing the same as GF, they want to attack you for being critical of Obama and his failed policies ... yet they can not come up with anything he has done that has been successful.

She seems like a bright lady ... but she is blinded by her liberal beliefs.

Commenting is indeed very tough for those who voted for change… non-specific change.

The indigent, ignorant, and illiterate, who were transported to the polls and shown how to vote, will not speak up. Most of them don’t remember for whom they voted anyway.

It is the hard working, but left leaning that are the most dumbstruck. They were sucked in by the charisma and the carefully staged and delivered message. They engaged in suspended belief when told… repeatedly… that the man had neither ethics nor credentials. They chose to ignore the warning and to bet the high risk.

The high risk was a sucker bet. To be sure, the rich will get richer, for self-aggrandizement is a practiced art. But, the common man now finds himself unemployed and exploited. He now realizes that the unrevealed plan for him… the plan of which he, as a voter, did not demand specifics… is the loss of both freedom and the sweat of his labor. The old have lost a significant amount of their retirement and another chunk of quality of life choices.

The left leaners bet their children’s and grandchildren’s dreams and lost them too. And, THAT is the worst and most damning gouge of all… to have squandered the life treasures of their precious little innocents.

The emperor has no clothes.

Hound: you have outdone yourself with that post. A serious policy wonk? Are you completely unhinged? He is a gifted politician, and by that I mean he can read speeches off a teleprompter. But he is no policy wonk, as evidenced by every time he goes off script. There are a lot of liberal politician policy wonks and while a disagree with their conclusions they at least know their subjects. You really crack me up sometimes with you sycophantic support for Obama. Even Saturday Night Live has figured this guy out.

Obama did not write his books. He may have had the idea… provided an outline… maybe a few sentences, but he didn’t write his own books. Literary experts unanimously agree that Obama did not pen the style and prose which are set forth in “Dreams of My Father.” Actually, as unwittingly revealed to Christopher Andersen for his book "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage,” Michelle Obama tells how Bill Ayers wrote the book when Obama couldn’t.

(See: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=110781)

With respect to “Audacity of Hope,” “The New York Times assures its readers that ‘enough of the narrative voice in this volume is recognizably similar to the one in ‘Dreams From My Father.’ Without intending to, the Times likely captured the thinking behind the creation of Audacity.” The Washington Post addressed the central issue, and it did so facetiously: "The book [Dreams] is beautifully written and yet, in Cashill's opinion, Obama is - and always was - a crappy (his word, not mine) writer."

“In October 2006, Audacity debuted to kind reviews and huge sales. Despite Obama's "unforgiving Senate schedule and periodic bouts of writer's block," he had been able to write a 216-page book without any acknowledged writing help in what was likely an 18-month window. This was the same writer who blew a $125,000 advance because he was unable to produce a book during "several" much less hectic years, the same writer who between his 1995 masterpiece and Audacity had written nothing deeper than a column for a community newsletter.”

(See Jack Cashill, http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/07/who_wrote_audacity_of_hope_1.html)

Audacity was probably written by Jon Favreau, with phrases lifted directly from Dreams to provide continuity.

An example from text actually written by Obama: (1983 essay "Breaking The War Mentality," written in 1983 for ColumbiaUniversity’s “Sundial”)

“The belief that moribund institutions, rather than individuals are at the root of the problem, keep SAM's energies alive.”

Can you imagine you English 101 professor nailing you for subject–verb agreement?
This was one of five subject-verb errors in Obama’s submission. The entire essay was riddled with punctuation errors. My professor would have failed me for the first three errors. Was the “bar” at the same level for Obama as it was for me? How in the world did such a piece of disjointed logic and grammatical garbage get into a Columbia University weekly?

Note also that he used moribund (meaning “nearly dead”) to describe our military! I was in our military in 1983! It was not anywhere near dead.

I urge you to cut and paste (into your browser) any one of the two citations above. Read through the cases provided. Keep in mind that the opinions of the liberal papers New York Times and Washington Post are liberally referenced. Decide for yourself.

It is NOT Obama’s literary prowess, experience, credentials, intelligence, judgment, or ethics which are keeping his head above water. Upon whomever’s shoulders Obama is standing… that “person” is beginning to stumble under the burden of stupidity. Obama will soon struggle to keep his head above water as his straw underpinnings crumble from their own lack of structural (ethical) integrity. The world is watching.

So quiet?? There has to be one thing you can point to that has worked in your mind or that you feel is good?

I honestly tried to be objective and I came up with none. Now that does not mean you don't see it differently ... but I, and it looks like others, feel his first year has had failed policy and has done nothing to improve the economy, national security (or even whitehouse security), reduce unemployment, etc. He has tripled the debt, proposed many new taxes, expanded governemnt, new regulation, added a lot of czars, proposed socialist programs, new environmental regulations that hurt american businesses more that foreign, a list of blunders, more vactions and golf than any other president in his first year (all when we have more problems).

So what do you see good???

So funny how you and GF and Archie will come out with posts that appear to say he has your continued support ... yet you never point to why ... what is he doing right in your mind to deserve such support and loyalty. I am willing to support the guy if his policy and results deserve it ... but I will not support him blindly like it appears you are doing.
